Iron of Blood and Steel (IOBAS)

Print, paint, and play. This free-to-play tabletop skirmish board game. Designed for fast-paced, tactical matches with streamlined rules, it features concurrent turns to keep every player engaged during epic team battles. Compact, highly portable, and incredibly easy to set up, you can turn any small space into your next battlefield.

All available units will have at least one free STL of the model downloadable on the website, official models does not need to be used in games as long as your opponent(s) agrees the models are good representation of the unit, i.e. players are free to create their own version of units as long as they look reasonable (or if their opponent have low standards, jk :P).

This game is designed with simplicity in mind whilst keeping a meaningful army building experience, and tactical gameplay and dynamic enough to ensure each playthrough will be different. There will be dice rolling, but it is only to complement unit stats (Luck alone will not fully turn the tide of battle due to poor execution, reduced the powers of the RNG Gods).

'Grid-less grid' system, streamlined movement removing measuring time. To offset the inherit downside of a traditional grid system (1, rocks to represent intersections to reduce immersion breaking effect of grids) (2, multiple characters can fit on one 'grid' based on their size, so that the player can position their characters in same way as they would do in a measuring tape type game). This provides much quicker movement speeding up each turns and pace of the game.

More Players, highly scalable. Just stack boards together to increase battlefield side accordingly (details in rulebook, free to download on website) In teams battles, concurrent turns to speed things up, players on the same side can make their moves whilst each of their counterparts on the other side observe.

The tiny 15mm miniature scale allows for ease of storage, quick paint time, and can take it everywhere with you, the board itself is 10x10 'grid' with dimension of 30cmx30cm that's around the size of a laptop when folded in half. Take it with you on a train, camping, in a pub, you name it, the possibilities are endless!
