The product

The product KHROMASYNC: GENESIS is the first card game from Awed Cod Studio, as well as the first title in the Odd Nodd party game series. 

Visually, we adopted a retro aesthetic design. For example, the outer box references game cartridge packaging from the 2000s. 

The two card frame designs feature Y2K-popular fluid and bubble graphics, as well as a black-and-green theme simulating CRT screens. 

The card back uses game cartridges and code waterfalls inspired by The Matrix as its background (Spoiler alert: The game is related to 2000s handheld consoles, which is why many elements from that era appear in the packaging and design). 

In terms of gameplay, KHROMASYNC: GENESIS combines the portability and random draw mechanics of card games with the layout strategy of board games. 

Under simple yet rigorous rules, two players must compete in hand management and predictive thinking. 

Through limited support items, be the first to build a connected pathway using your frames to move from the starting point to the terminal.

The Origin

It all started in my bathroom. 

My bathroom is quite old, covered in a chaotic mix of tiles in various colors and patterns. It was messy and looked like a jumble of color blocks, far from aesthetic. Every time I took a shower and looked at those tiles, I had an urge to rip them down and reinstall them. 

Was there a way to make these tiles look nice? At least so the colors and shapes wouldn't clash with each other? I tried sketching these tiles, categorizing them, drawing them on paper, and arranging them. 

After a few attempts, I made an interesting discovery: placing identical colors side-by-side and aligning identical patterns diagonally created unique, non-repeating combinations. 

Once, my friends came over to play games (we were playing 7 Wonders, a classic board game). Seeing the stack of cut-out paper squares on the table, they asked out of curiosity: "What's that?" I explained the origin of these paper tiles to my friends. 

As I finished speaking, a spark hit me: Isn't this an excellent game concept? And so, the game was born. After multiple playtests, art adjustments, and rule optimizations, it eventually became what it is today. 

This is the GENESIS of KHROMASYNC.

Timeline

Everything is ready, and all that is missing now is your support to make this game a reality. 

September 2026: Kickstarter Campaign Activation & Operational Conclusion. 

Late 2026: Final Visual Proofing & Submission to Manufacturing Pipeline. 

Early 2027: Factory Production Wrap & Commencement of Global Freight Logistics. 

Late 2027: Official Deployment. Physical units arrive globally at backers' terminals.
