What’s Kindness Quest?

Kindness Quest is a deck of cards. Draw one, and it gives you a real action — not a question to sit and think about. Every card has three parts:

• The action: something specific to actually go do
• Dos and don'ts: so you're not guessing at how
• A reflection: so it becomes a habit, not a one-off moment

I made it rewards based on purpose - a little competitive, genuinely fun - because kindness shouldn't feel like homework. So every time you complete a task, you chalk up points on the kindness meter. 

There are two decks: Family, for parents and kids, and Couples, for partners who want to stay close instead of coasting. There are bonus decks for Children and Corporate Teams. 

Why I built Kindness Quest?
I'm Jaya. I work in technology solving business problems for enterprises. I'm also a single mom to two boys, a Jungian depth coach; and a poet. 

If you're a parent, or you're in a relationship, you've probably asked yourself some version of these:

• How do I get my kids to actually be kind, not just say the right things?
• How do my partner and I stay close instead of drifting into autopilot?
• Why do we know kindness matters and still not know what to do with it, in the moment, with the people closest to us?
• How can I be more thoughtful and intentional towards my loved ones without having to think about it?

If you are like me, you are also worried that the world has gotten more disconnected and isolated than ever before. I have two teenage boys: they don't like to talk much, they prefer actions to words. As an enterprise architect in technology, my customers demand action, not words. And in life, change comes from action, not endless podcasts or conversations. 

That's what Kindness Quest is - a simple way to turn good intentions into real action.

Every card gives you a real-world action designed to create a moment of care, thoughtfulness, or connection.

Why I'm crowdfunding this?

With this campaign, I want to focus on families and couples and more intimate kindness practices. I've designed and printed prototype sets myself, out of my own pocket. What this campaign funds is our first full production run: 500 Family decks, 500 Couples decks. I want to turn the prototypes I’ve created into a full production run and get Kindness Quest into the hands of families and couples who want to use it.
