About the game

Team

Tor Truslow is game maker, writer and collage artist based in London. As tooth & shore, Tor has published games including Tending, a solo mixed-media religion-building game inspired by nature and strange places, and The Sea Around Us, a collaborative worldbuilding game rooted in the stories people tell about their oceans. Their writing and art can also be found in publications by Sidekick Books, Three of Cups press and the inaugural issue of critical TTRPG journal Playtest Material. They can often be found picking up old bones on the nearest river shore, or alternatively online on itch.io, bluesky or instagram.
Rebecca Tate is an Edinburgh-based illustrator & concept artist whose work is inspired by organic environments, sustainability, and community. Their work combines digital and traditional mediums including inks, graphite, painting, and printmaking to create visuals for fictional narratives in games. Rebecca’s ongoing projects include The Strand, a collaborative sci-fi world-building and concept art project set on an intertidal archipelago, and Lost, a personal project exploring themes of identity and the loss of cultural heritage. You can follow and explore their work on Instagram @rebi_draws_ or on their website at rebeccatateillustration.com
Cai Wingfield is a Birmingham-based layout and graphic designer. At Lodestone Media, they provide design services, particularly for creative and cultural projects. Cai has worked with the British Council, Clore Leadership and Incoming Festival, and on projects from brand identities to layout, marketing and print design. They also moonlight as a research scientist, and occasionally find time to play TTRPGs with their kids. You can find more of their work at lodestone.media.
Sustainability and AI
As far as it is within my control, no generative AI has been or ever will be used in the development and fulfilment of this project. The creators directly responsible for the work have certainly not used it, and I will ask the same of future contractors and suppliers. I will also continue to research and make informed decisions on tech usage generally, as well as materials used and suppliers’ manufacturing practices. Recycled and recyclable materials will be prioritised, and I will not work with any third parties unless I am confident that labour is being fairly paid for.
Kraldum is a game partly about the material impressions we leave on each other and on our environments as we move through the world; as such, it feels essential to consider the real life impacts of making and sharing it by continuing to educate myself on the supply chains and technological systems all of our lives are entangled with. An anti-AI stance is one place to start this work but it can't be the end. I know I won’t be able to do it perfectly, but I hope to do it consciously and openly while providing you all with a quality pro-people, pro-planet game.
