3 HOW TO PLAY

White starts in the centre. 

Players then alternate, placing one cube of their colour.

Each new cube must touch the existing structure by a full face — beside or on top.

4 THE PLAY AREA

Each zone determines the maximum height cubes can reach.

5 FOLLOW THE ANT

A simple way to understand the principle is to imagine a little ant that can only walk across white facets.

6 KYBO IN ACTION

KYBO has no fixed orientation. Rotate the board whenever you wish — but only on your turn.

7 STRATEGY EMERGES

The rules stay simple. The position doesn’t.

Reading the network of visible facets takes a little practice — then it becomes instinctive. KYBO rewards attention and spatial perception.

KYBO Digital helped us test hundreds of configurations and unusual situations.

8 WHO CREATED KYBO?

KYBO was created by Stéphane Bernasconi, a French animation director and producer whose career has been devoted to visual storytelling, space and movement. His directing credits include The Adventures of Tintin, The Pirate Family and Zoom the White Dolphin. After decades of creating animated worlds, he turned his experience in 3D and visual construction toward a very different challenge: designing an abstract strategy game.

9 THE TEAM

KYBO is first and foremost a family project. Stéphane and Antoine Bernasconi have developed it together over several years, from the first prototypes and player tests to game fairs and final production.

10 DEVELOPPEMENT AND TESTING

Developed and prototyped in France. Industrialized in close collaboration with LongPack, an experienced game manufacturer in China.

Board durability, cube adhesion and magnetic strength were tested, adjusted and refined before production.

10 WHAT’S IN THE BOX?

KYBO is designed as a complete physical game experience: a rotating board, magnetic cubes, and everything needed to start playing right away.

This first edition has been developed with special attention to the feel of the cubes, the stability of the structure, and the smooth rotation of the board.
