LAND&SEA: Tactical Miniatures Game
Par Brent Evans
Statut actuel
From the legendary creative mind that relaunched the BATTLETECH tabletop miniatures game line and developed the BATTLETECH: CLAN INVASION Kickstarter - comes the Tactical Miniatures Game for a whole new sci-fi franchise called LAND&SEA!
The oceans are lost... and the Coastlines have become a war zone!
The LAND&SEA Tactical Miniatures Game is a fast-playing tactical miniatures experience where near-future human forces battle against weaponized alien lifeforms across real-world locations.

Players choose to command human soldiers, mechs and support units - or unleash cunningly vicious alien monstrosities - in tense, small-unit battles designed to finish in 30-120 minutes.
The game is complete and ready for production. Now we want you to join in and help us bring it to life!
These products, which we are affectionately calling our "Wave One" releases, have everything you need to enter the war. The TMG has been extensively playtested and honed by gamer fans of the novels series. This campaign will fund our first production run, with all contents - rulebooks, cards, maps and miniatures - produced domestically in the United States. No time lost to international shipping and customs, nor erratic costs due to fluctuations in Tariffs. Just quality game products that bring storylines to your tabletop battlefield.
What is LAND&SEA universe?
Created by Brent Evans, and brought to life through the highly rated ongoing novel series from New York Times bestselling author Blaine L. Pardoe, LAND&SEA takes a hard science fiction approach to an alien invasion storyline.
LAND&SEA is set twenty years in the future of real world Earth, after enormous alien colony ships descend undetected from space and disappear beneath the oceans. The invaders do not negotiate. They reshape Earth’s marine life, combining it with their own alien DNA into living weapons and begin a methodical assault on humanity’s coastlines. The aliens do not carry weapons, they ARE weapons, biologically engineered for battle.
The war is only a year old and already taking a toll. Under pressure from all sides, every nation is struggling to defend its people recapture what was lost. The world’s navies have been pushed back and the conflict has moved ashore. Humanity’s best hope lies with elite troops, advanced combat mechs called ASHURs. It is a war of mechs vs. aliens; technology vs. biology.
Every scenario puts a decisive engagement on the table: hold a position, break through an enemy line, protect a vital asset or destroy it before the opposing force can respond.
Everything You Need to Enter the War
The Core Set is the starting point for LAND&SEA. It brings two opposing forces together with the battlefield, rules and play aids needed to begin fighting.
Contents include the Core Rulebook, six miniatures for the Human forces (Rhino-class ASHUR, 4 Infantry, 1 Greyhound drone), four miniatures for the Alien forces (3 Crabs in unigue poses + 1 Fox), two Maps that are combinable (Central Park), Record Sheets and Action Cards for all of the units in the box - plus Tactical Cards for unique gameplay mission objectives.
Fast Decisions - Hard Choices - No Waiting Around
LAND&SEA is built for players who want tactical depth without surrendering an entire evening. Battles reward positioning, timing and coordinated use of the units under each player’s command. The game is a mix of decisions, timing, cards, dice, and beautiful miniatures.
(Impulse Tracker)
The Impulse System
Gameplay moves fluidly based on the actions/choices of each unit in play. Each Impulse represents roughly 5 seconds in combat, so gameplay is a series of quick decisions. The Impulse tracker breaks that down into how long these actions take, with a full round equaling roughly 1 minute (or 12 Impulses) in combat.
Instead of resolving an entire turn for one side and then handing the table to the other, LAND&SEA uses Impulses to keep both commanders involved continuously. Units act in a shifting sequence, forcing each player to decide when to press an advantage, protect a vulnerable unit, or hold an activation for the moment it matters most.

Cards Put the Battlefield in Your Hands
Character ability, circumstance and equipment information is organized for quick reference at the table. The objective is simple: spend less time hunting through a rulebook and more time making strategic decisions.
Different Forces - Shared Battlefield
Human forces rely on training, firepower and machines such as the Augmented Soft/Hard Unconventional Combat Rig, the ASHUR. The alien force attacks with biological weapons evolved for radically different roles. Both sides fight across the same battlefield, but they should never feel like mirror images of one another.
A Living Battlefield
LAND&SEA scenarios are built around recognizable locations, terrain and mission-driven play. The Core Set brings the fight to New York's Central Park (shown below on the right), and the $150K stretch goal adds downtown Beverly Hills (shown below on the left). Future maps and expansions can carry the war into new locations, introduce new units, and create new tactical problems without replacing the game players already own.

Start with the Core Set, learn the system, then expand the conflict in the direction that interests you most.
Designed, Tested and Ready for Its First Production Run
LAND&SEA has been developed over several years, and gone through playtesting over the last ten months. The core rules, maps, cards and minis are complete, and this crowdfunding campaign is being built around manufacturable products rather than an untested concept.
Kickstarter makes the next step possible: producing the printed components in quantities that reduce unit costs, funding the first substantial run and putting the game into the hands of the community that can help it grow.
While miniatures can be produced in smaller runs, books, maps and card decks become dramatically more economical at volume. Every Core Set pledged helps make the complete game viable.
Choose Your Level of Support
Whether you want to explore the rules digitally, print and play at home, put the complete Core Set on your table or collect the wider LAND&SEA range, there is a path in the campaign that is perfect for you.
Choose the reward that fits you now. Eligible backers will be able to manage add-ons and shipping after the campaign through Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager.
Expand the War
Optional miniatures, digital forces, patches and expansion content allow backers to build beyond the Core Set. Each add-on will make clear what it is, what it adds to the game, whether it is physical or digital, and when it is expected to be delivered.
The first production run is only the beginning. As the campaign grows, stretch goals may unlock additional content that strengthens the game without delaying the Core Set.
The World Beyond the Table
LAND&SEA is more than a premise created for a single box. It is an established multi-novel military-science-fiction universe developed by New York Times bestselling author Blaine L. Pardoe, giving players a deeper world to explore beyond the battlefield. Campaign rewards and add-ons may include fiction and related story content for backers who want to go further into the conflict.
The game stands on its own. The fiction is there for players who want more.

LAND&SEA brings together experienced game developers, writers, editors, artists and production specialists to carry an established military-science-fiction universe onto the tabletop.
Production and Fulfillment
The campaign is being planned around domestic production for all of our game components. This approach reduces exposure to overseas freight and tariff uncertainty while allowing closer coordination with manufacturing partners.
Our current target is to begin reward fulfillment in March 2027. Before launch, the team will finalize vendor quotes, component specifications, packaging, freight assumptions and the fulfillment schedule. Backers will receive regular production updates, including clear notice of any change that affects timing.
Shipping and Taxes
We expect shipping to be charged after the campaign through Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager. The final amount will be based on the contents of each pledge and the backer’s delivery address. Estimated ranges will be published before launch, and applicable taxes will be handled according to Kickstarter’s process and local requirements.

Risks and Challenges
Manufacturing a tabletop game requires coordination across miniature production, printing, packaging and fulfillment. The principal risks include final vendor pricing, component revisions, production capacity, material availability, freight and the possibility that a late change creates delays elsewhere in the schedule.
We are reducing those risks by developing the game before launch, working with experienced collaborators, keeping the initial product focused and planning fulfillment around domestic production partners. If a problem arises, we will explain what changed, what it affects and what we are doing about it.
Our Use of AI Assisted Tools
No generative AI was used to create the game rules, miniatures, fiction, artwork, maps, cards or any physical products offered in this campaign. No AI-generated content is included in our products or rewards.
