The Dominion does not ask if you can fight. It asks only which rank you will stand in.

For three centuries, the Karzhun Dominion has not raised soldiers — it has forged them. Not a horde. Not a warband. An army: disciplined, ranked, and utterly unlike any orc faction you've ever put in front of your table.

Story

Legions of the Iron Dominion is a complete 50-creature bestiary for the 5th edition of the world's most popular roleplaying game, built around a single, coherent idea: what if the orcs weren't a tribe, but a state? What if they marched in ranks, answered to officers, and fought a war the way an empire fights one — with cavalry, siege engines, war-mages, and a chain of command?

Meet the Karzhun Dominion

The Karzhun Dominion did not conquer through savagery. It conquered through discipline. Where other orc factions raid and scatter, the Dominion drills, garrisons, and holds. Its conscripts are drafted by hearth-quota. Its legions march to the same cadence they've used for three hundred years. Its highest officers are not chosen for cruelty, but for the ability to make ten thousand soldiers move as one.

At the front of it all stands the Graven General — a commander fused, generation after generation, to the Dominion's founding war-banner, so that the empire's very first victory still marches at the head of every army it fields today.

What's inside

  • 50 fully-statted creatures, from CR 1/8 conscripts to CR 9 legendary showstoppers
  • Three tiers of soldier: battlefield Archetypes (the backbone of every regiment), ritual-fused Hybrids (orcs bound to beasts, siege engines, and ancient magic), and dark-comic Whimsical outliers (the army's bureaucrats, veterans, and disasters)
  • Complete, original 5E-compliant stat blocks — no reskinned SRD monsters
  • Full lore for every single creature: what it is, how it came to be, and a short field report pulled straight from the ranks
  • Full-color illustrated art for every warrior in the Dominion

Sample creature showcase — Meet 3 of them. 47 more are waiting

How to use this at your table

Every entry is built to drop straight into a session with no extra prep:

  • Recurring antagonists — pull individual conscripts and officers for a running skirmish campaign against the Dominion
  • A mercenary company — hire out a warband of Archetypes as hired muscle for your party
  • A full siege arc — stack Siege Corps and War-Beast Corps units for a multi-session assault on a fortress
  • A single terrifying set-piece — drop The Graven General or the Siege-Tortoise Symbiont in as a campaign-ending boss encounter

The book is organized by branch and by Challenge Rating, so building an encounter of the right size for your party takes minutes, not an evening of prep.
