Rome is Falling.

At the end of the 2nd century BC, the Roman Republic faces one of the greatest crises in its history.

From the forests of northern Europe, the Cimbri, Teutones and Ambrones begin a vast migration toward the south, defeating every Roman army sent to stop them. At Arausio (105 BC), Rome suffers one of the worst military disasters in its history, leaving the Republic vulnerable and its frontiers exposed.

To save Rome, Caius Marius launches a radical reform of the Roman army. He creates a new generation of professional soldiers, strengthens discipline, standardizes equipment and transforms the legions into a force capable of campaigning across the ancient world.
These hardened legionaries would become known throughout history as Marius' Mules.

Just a few years later, they would crush the invading tribes at Aquae Sextiae (102 BC) and Vercellae (101 BC), securing the future of the Republic and changing Roman warfare forever.

Today, that legendary army marches once again...

ROME CALLS FOR REINFORCEMENTS !

The Roman army is ready.

The core range presented in this campaign has already been sculpted and prepared for production. Reaching our €5,000 Funding Goal allows Marius' Mules to march.

As the campaign grows, new reinforcements will join Rome before the road opens towards Gallia, Africa and Asia, each bringing new commanders, units and enemies to the battlefield.
Every milestone expands the world of Marius' Mules.

Your campaign starts in Rome. How far will the Republic march?

The campaign is divided into five successive expansion phases.
The further the campaign goes, the larger the world of Marius' Mules becomes.

Each phase introduces a new group of Stretch Goals and expands the range further across the Mediterranean.

HOW THE STRETCH GOALS WORK

The campaign is designed to grow alongside its community.

As new funding milestones are reached, new characters, units and forces will be unlocked, gradually expanding the world of Marius’ Mules across the different provinces of the campaign.

Each unlocked Stretch Goal will become available as an optional add-on. This means that Stretch Goals are not automatically added for free to your pledge: once unlocked, you will be able to choose which miniatures and units you want to add to your order through the Pledge Manager after the campaign.

You are completely free to build your force your way : reinforce your Roman army, explore a new province, or combine several forces as the campaign expands.

When all the Stretch Goals of a province have been unlocked, its Expansion Pack will also become available, bringing together the forces of that chapter of the campaign.

The further we march, the more the world of Marius’ Mules expands.

REINFORCEMENTS OF THE REPUBLIC

Rome has answered the call.
Before Marius marches beyond Italy, new commanders and troops join the army.

THE ROAD NORTH

Beyond Rome, the campaign turns north.
The Republic faces the peoples of Gaul and the shadow of the Cimbrian threat. New warlords and warriors now enter the conflict.

The campaign crosses the Mediterranean.

Numidian kings, Libyan warriors and the great war elephants of North Africa enter the battlefield.

Provincia Africa is fully unlocked.

THE EASTERN FRONTIER

The campaign now turns east.

Pergamon and Mysia open a new theatre of war, bringing Hellenistic commanders and troops into the expanding world of Marius' Mules.

Provincia Asia is fully unlocked.

THE ULTIMATE STRETCH GOAL

If the campaign reaches its final milestone, we will unlock our most ambitious Stretch Goal:

A FULL MODULAR ROMAN OPPIDUM SCENERY SET

The Roman Oppidum is the ultimate ambition of this campaign.

While the set has not yet been fully designed, the goal is to create a complete modular Roman fortified camp, developed specifically for the Marius’ Mules range and designed for 32mm tabletop gaming ! 

The set would be built around interchangeable wall sections, gates, towers and defensive elements, allowing you to assemble, rearrange and expand your fortifications to create different battlefield layouts.

Rather than a single fixed scenery piece, the objective is to develop a true modular terrain system, one that can grow with your collection and become the centrepiece of sieges, camps and large historical battles.

>  If we reach €80,000, development of the Roman Oppidum will officially begin.

Build the walls. Defend the camp. Bring Rome to the battlefield.

The core Marius' Mules range shown throughout this campaign is already sculpted and prepared for production.

This allows fulfilment to begin shortly after the campaign ends, while unlocked Stretch Goals enter production progressively.

Core-only pledges are expected to be fulfilled before the end of 2026.
Later expansion waves will follow progressively as their production is completed.

Our goal is simple: unlock more without delaying what is already ready.

SHIPPING WAVES & COMBINED DELIVERY

Production and fulfilment will take place progressively, following the campaign waves shown above. The Marius’ Mules Core Range will be produced first, followed by each unlocked expansion as development and production are completed.

If your order includes miniatures from different waves, you will have two shipping options:

> Combined Shipping — One Shipment
We can hold your complete order until the latest item in your pledge is ready. Everything will then be shipped together in a single package, helping you avoid additional shipping costs.

> Split Shipping — Receive the Core Range Earlier
If you prefer, your available miniatures can be shipped as soon as they are ready, without waiting for later expansions. The remaining items will then be sent in a second shipment once their production wave is complete. Any additional shipping costs generated by this second shipment will be charged to the backer through the Pledge Manager.

This way, you can choose between receiving your miniatures as early as possible or combining everything into one shipment to keep shipping costs down.

Estimated fulfilment dates may evolve depending on the final scope of the campaign and the number of unlocked Stretch Goals.

Final shipping costs will be calculated and collected through the Kickstarter Pledge Manager after the campaign, based on your final order, parcel weight, shipping destination and the carrier rates applicable at the time of fulfilment.

Taxes, VAT, Customs & Tariffs

Applicable taxes will be calculated and collected through the Kickstarter Pledge Manager where supported.

Kickstarter currently supports integrated collection of applicable EU/UK VAT, US sales tax and Canadian taxes, based on the backer’s destination and selected rewards. Kickstarter

Customs duties, tariffs, import fees, brokerage fees or other destination-specific charges are not included in the pledge price or estimated shipping cost unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Where such charges are not collected through the Pledge Manager, they remain the responsibility of the backer and may be charged upon import or delivery.

These dates are estimates and may evolve depending on the final campaign size, unlocked Stretch Goals, production capacity, customs processing or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Our fulfillment plan is built around successive production waves, allowing each part of the campaign to move into production without delaying rewards that are already ready.

The Republican Roman Army shown in the core campaign is already designed and prepared for production. This means fulfillment can begin shortly after the Kickstarter ends.

Every new expansion unlocked through the Stretch Goals has its own production and fulfillment schedule.

Unlocking Gallia, Africa or Asia will therefore not postpone the production of the Roman Core or previously unlocked expansions.

All rewards will be carefully packed and shipped from France with tracking.

The following delivery times are estimates after dispatch and may vary depending on the destination, local postal services, customs processing and peak periods

All international shipments will include tracking whenever available.

Customs duties, import taxes and other local charges, where applicable, are not included in the shipping cost and remain the responsibility of the backer.

As a self-taught history enthusiast, I approach every miniature with curiosity and care, researching archaeological evidence, historical sources and modern reconstructions to represent the period as faithfully as possible. Combined with over ten years of digital sculpting experience, my goal is to create miniatures that feel grounded in history while remaining beautiful to paint and practical on the tabletop.
