I’m a high school student from Southern California with a deep passion for helping both youth and elderly communities. I currently volunteer at a local senior home, working closely with residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care through activities like board games, cooking, bowling, and bingo. I also run a nonprofit where I teach children in my community how to play chess for free.
Growing up, I had grandparents with dementia. Connecting with them and creating meaningful memories was incredibly difficult especially since I only saw them for a short time each year. In my culture, bonding closely with elders isn’t always easy, and I often wished there had been something such as a game or an activity that could have helped bridge that gap.
That wish became MindLink.
MindLink combines my passion for youth, elders, and meaningful play into one experience. It’s the game I wish I had when I was younger — one that makes connection easier, more natural, and more joyful.
