Mobilis Mobili - A Journey Within Captain Nemo
A psychological adventure in the dreamlike depths of Nemo’s mind.
Mobilis in Mobili is a competitive strategy game where players embody conflicting aspects of Captain Nemo’s mind, manipulating memories and balance to seize control of his fate ... or shatter it entirely.
Set between 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (written in 1869 by Jules Verne) and The Mysterious Island (1864), Mobilis in Mobili is a battle within Captain Nemo’s subconscious. Lost in the Maelstrom, trapped between life and death, Nemo drifts into a surreal inner world. Here, four mental archetypes struggle to take control.
Players assume the roles of these inner voices, each exploring fragmented memories, manipulating Nemo’s emotional equilibrium, and fighting for dominance over his mind. But every memory you uncover has consequences…

Core Gameplay
Each turn, players take three actions:
Reclaim a Memory
Resolve the challenge on the card beneath the Nautilus using the unique Mancala-style system of shifting sailors around the submarine.
Navigate
Move the Nautilus orthogonally across memory cards, delving deeper into Nemo’s subconscious.
Attack
Destroy ships that increase the difficulty of adjacent memories—or resolve cards requiring attack strength.
Rest
Redistribute sailors without taking additional effects.
Declare Victory
If your personal victory condition is met, you can win instantly—but only if Nemo’s mental balance aligns with your archetype.
The Maelstrom & Endgame
The game ends in one of two ways:
The Maelstrom Appears
The Nautilus lands on a Maelstrom card, the final reckoning is triggered.
Victory goes to the player with the most fate symbols matching the hemisphere of Nemo’s mind.
Early Victory
Each character has unique psychological goals.
If you meet your goal — and Nemo’s mind is aligned—you may win immediately.
A Unique Mind-Management System
Nemo’s inner balance is tracked on the stunning Mind Equilibrium Board.
Memory effects push the equilibrium around the circular dial:
- Too far → Meltdown! Discard ALL memories!
- Just right → A strategic opportunity
Maintaining this fragile balance is at the heart of the game’s tension.
