We're a small tabletop company, originally started by Jeff Mechlinksi in 2013 originally named Strangelet Machine Games, and made several TTRPGS Age Past and Super Age. In 2018, Strange Machine Games really got going with Darius Hambleton, a childhood friend joined and together they created Robotech®: Attack on the SDF-1, Robotech®: Ace Pilot, Robotech®: The Macross Saga Roleplaying Game, and Charm Role Playing Game. Around that time, they met Quinn Washburn at Origins Game Fair, and he's been designing games for Strange Machine Games ever since, including Robotech®: Cyclone Run, Iconoclash, and of course Valiant Wars.
As a board game publisher, Strange Machine Games aims to make the most dynamic and interesting board game and RPG products on the market, even if it means using strange machines to get there. In every SMG product, we aim to provide play experiences that provide unique experiences. We hope to win over the hearts of those who give SMG products a try.
Wing Alster came to Quinn with a game concept and the sentiment of "everyone loves monster girls" and thankfully Strange Machine Games wholeheartedly agreed! This is the first published game she's worked on, but she has been designing board games and TTRPGs under the name Loot and Lute for games that are cute, funny, and whimsical.
