Every film carries its own stats on the face: what people scored it, what critics scored it, and what it won. We have a CORE pack with 120 widely known, greatest movies of all time that comes with the base box, and three expansion packs - RETRO, CULT and FAMILY - for when you want the night to hit different.

MovieDEX is intentionally built to accommodate buffs and casuals alike, around the same table.

While movie knowledge helps, several of the eight games are won by reading the table, and making clever plays. Players can bluff, bid, deduce and argue your way through. We've seen casual watchers beat film students. Regularly.

Manufacturing And Shipping

Note: The base box is 315 × 235 × 80 mm and weighs 2.2 kg. These are estimated rates. Final shipping is charged separately in the pledge manager once the campaign ends, at the rates prevailing then. Expedited air is added there too, priced the same way.

We ship to most of the world. We cannot currently ship to Brazil, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Israel, Colombia, Morocco, South Africa or Chile.

Manufacturing: LongPack Games & Toys manufactures the box.

Shipping: NextSmartShip handles fulfilment from regional hubs, so most orders ship inside your own region. Whatever duty or tax applies is already inside that shipping price. Nothing extra to pay when the box arrives, and no customs bill at your door. 

Two speeds, and they land at different times: 

Expedited is air freight, delivering from November 2026, in time for Christmas. You add it in the pledge manager after the campaign, at the rates prevailing then.

Standard is sea freight, delivering from January 2027. 

If you have not backed a Kickstarter before, the pledge manager is a separate checkout that opens about two weeks after the campaign ends, where you confirm your address, pick your lane, pay shipping and include any additional add-ons.

The Team

DEX was built by two friends who met at Procter & Gamble more than a decade ago, sat on the same team, then went their own ways for several years. We came back together for one shared belief: nothing brings people closer than a good game night. One of us sees the thing before it exists and wills it into being. The other sees the machine inside it and makes it run.
