En bref · fiche BoardGameGeek traduite
« Patterns » a été publié dans *A Gamut of Games*.
Muster has arrived on Kickstarter!
Muster: Raise the Banners is making its Kickstarter debut - and it's arrived with not one but two cataclysmic micro-expansions. Get ready for Pyroclasm and High and Mighty!
What's Inside?
Each expansion pack includes 6 new game cards that are simply shuffled into the base game to provide added variety and tactical options via brand new mechanics, while still sticking to the familiar fast-paced gameplay that makes Muster so easy to pick up and play.
Pyroclasm Story
🌋 A mysterious Pyroclasmhas blighted Muster’sidyllic landscape, with blazing lava and freezing blizzards wreaking havoc on these enchanted realms.
👿 Accompanying this unseasonable surprise are mischief-making Rainbow Imps… who appear completely impervious to this rather wretched weather!
⌛ Although whether the Imps are here to help or hinder these increasingly perilous proceedings very much remains to be seen...
High and Mighty Story
👼 The realms of Musterhave been blessed by a visit from the High and Mighty.
💘 Introducing the Highborn, whose mere arrival serves to fortify their many devoted followers... alas, a usurper descends from on high, for there can only be one truly blessed Banner!
🌈 But fear not! For the mighty Rainbow Saint is accepting of all, and benevolently bestowing its Rainbow Magic to all those who seek it!
What is Muster?
🧙♂️ Muster: Raise the Banners is a family-friendly 2-player game for ages 8 and up, where players compete to Raise the Banners and seize control of five majestic castles.
🌈 In Muster, you play cards from your hand to carefully build up strength in sequence on your side of the board, while unleashing powerful Rainbow cards in order to outmanoeuvre your opponent.
🏰 At the end of the game, the player who controls the most castles wins!
Is Muster any Good?
We certainly think so! But don't take our word for it, Tabletop Gaming magazine recommended the game to its readers, calling it a "lightning-fast head-to-head aimed at families that's mercifully devoid of nasty mudslinging" and SENET magazine said its "quick-fire Lost Cities-like gameplay practically begs for another round, while the cute colourful illustrations are also hugely appealing".

The game placed Runner-Up for Best 2-Player Game and was nominated for Best Protohype (Indie) Game at the 2025 UKBG Review Circle Awards, and has been reviewed by dozens of wonderful reviewers and players - which you can read over on BoardGameGeek and our website!
