Build a home that refuses to stay still

The world drowned long ago. What remains are scattered islands, half-lost ruins, dangerous waters — and whatever people can build above the waves.

Navareth is a co-op survival crafting game about turning raw timber into a floating medieval town and taking that home with you across a drowned world.

You begin with little more than an island, basic tools, and the need to survive. Fell trees. Shape timber. Lash together your first floating platform. Build a workshop, a shelter, a harbor, and eventually a fortress large enough to carry an entire crew.

The rule at the heart of Navareth is simple:

The castle always moves

Your base is not a static building beside the adventure. It is the vessel that carries the adventure forward.

Every wall, workshop, storage room, farm, tower, and dock becomes part of one growing structure. You stand on it, build it with your own hands, and sail it into unknown waters. A finished settlement should never become a menu screen or a distant backdrop. It remains a real place beneath your feet.

As your home grows, so does the challenge of moving it. Size, weight, balance, resources, weather, and the needs of your crew all shape what you can build and where you dare to sail next.

Survive without turning the game into a punishment

Navareth has hunger, thirst, stamina, weather, tools, and preparation — but survival is meant to create stories, not erase an evening of progress.

Running out of food should weaken you and force a change of plans. It should not delete hours of work. There are no loot boxes, no pay-to-win shortcuts, and no punishment for logging off. The goal is a survival game that respects your time while still making the world feel dangerous.

Explore a drowned world

Your floating home opens the way to distant regions with different climates, resources, ruins, and hazards. Islands are expeditions, not permanent resource farms: places to land, search, learn from, and eventually leave behind.

What you bring home changes what your settlement can become. A new material may unlock stronger foundations. A recovered tool may change how the crew works. A rare discovery may be the reason to risk a storm instead of waiting for calm water.

Progress should always be visible. The raft that once carried a few logs becomes a working dock, then a village, then a moving medieval stronghold.

Built for cooperation from the foundation up

Navareth is designed as a co-op game first, while remaining playable alone. Friends share the same moving home, divide work naturally, and solve problems together: one person gathers timber, another prepares food, another expands the structure, and someone has to keep an eye on the horizon.

The project is being built around server-authoritative systems from the beginning, with self-hosted and dedicated-server play as the intended direction. Co-op is not planned as a late attachment to a single-player game; it is part of the technical foundation.

Where Navareth is right now

Navareth is in active development by one developer using Unreal Engine 5.8.

Core foundations already exist for character abilities and vitals, inventory and items, interaction, building, water, and interface work. The difficult parts still need iteration, testing, content, and a great deal of polish. This page is live early on purpose: I would rather show how the game is being built, share real progress, and let a community form around it than disappear for years and reveal it only when every edge looks finished.

Anything shown as finished gameplay will be clearly separated from concept art, targets, and work in progress. If a plan changes, I will explain why.

Why follow the project now?

Following Navareth on Gamefound helps show that people want this specific kind of survival game: cooperative, construction-driven, respectful of their time, and centered on a home that never stops travelling.

You can also join the Discord to follow development, discuss the direction of the game, and become one of the first Wayfarers:

The first real milestone is not a list of promises. It is a playable slice that proves the central idea: gather resources, build a floating home, stand on it, and move together through the world.

The castle always moves. Now we have to build it.
