— description fournie par l’éditeur

Our Story
Hi, I’m David, aka The Boss. The idea for Nice Try, Wise Guy began after I discovered Tabletop Deathmatch, a series that opened my eyes to the craft of creating great games. Before long, I was lying awake at night wondering: If I designed a game, what would it be?
My thoughts turned to The Thin Man films we had recently been watching featuring William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick & Nora, a couple known for their rapid-fire banter, flirtatious charm, and a knack for solving crimes while enjoying many, many cocktails. Soon, I had conjured an entire world of mob bosses, malice, and martinis.
I didn’t want to create just another party game. I wanted something with panache, where the mechanics and mood worked together like a poker face and a hidden ace. So I designed a world filled with wise guys and double-crossing dames, and where no one gets out with their hands clean.
My wife, Barbarella, helped me develop the idea and bring the game to life. Together, we’re filmmakers and the co-founders of Salt & Sugar Productions. Our friend Terri completed the picture with her original artwork, giving Daylight City and its devious inhabitants a style all their own.
After countless refinements and playtests, our first game is ready to make its move. We hope it brings you lots of laughter, and the rare pleasure of bumping off everyone you love—with no hard feelings and considerably less paperwork.
