What is the Project About
Four epic Napoleonic games. One campaign. Something for every kind of wargamer.
Command sweeping empires, relive legendary battles, and experience the drama of the Napoleonic Wars through four very different game systems — from fast-playing compact battles to grand strategic warfare and immersive solitaire command.
ONE HOUR NAPOLEON
Designed by Clint Warren-Davey, this fast-paced multiplayer game lets 2–5 players refight the entire Napoleonic Wars in about one hour. Quick to learn and packed with strategic decisions, it delivers the full rise and fall of Napoleon in a single sitting.
NAPOLEON RETURNS 1815 – SECOND EDITION
Worthington’s classic Waterloo Campaign game returns in a fully remastered deluxe edition. Featuring an updated combat system, redesigned counters, and enhanced presentation, this 2-player game recreates the dramatic 1815 campaign in approximately 2 hours.
EYLAU 1807 SOLITAIRE – BOARD GAME
Designer Max Eisert’s acclaimed book game has been transformed into a full board game experience with mounted board, beautiful counters, and cards. Fight the brutal winter Battle of Eylau in this deep solitaire system featuring three AI BOT difficulty levels for each side. Plays in under one hour.
ASPECTS OF WATERLOO
A fast-playing 1–2 player small-box game, focused on the Battle of Waterloo. Built around an innovative new system created by Devin Hill, the game includes a full solitaire engine allowing either side to be played solo. Compact, portable, and playable in under 30 minutes.
Whether you enjoy grand campaigns, tactical battles, solitaire challenges, or quick travel-friendly games, this collection delivers four distinct ways to experience the Napoleonic Wars.
ONE HOUR NAPOLEON
In ONE HOUR NAPOLEON, designed by Clint Warren-Davey, 2–5 players take command of the major powers of Europe in a game of strategy, diplomacy, and warfare covering the years 1805–1815. Players guide Napoleon and the Coalition powers through campaigns across Europe while managing alliances, military operations, and political decisions.
Based on the system used in ONE HOUR WORLD WAR II (RATED A 7.6 ON BOARDGAMEGEEK.COM), player actions create responses and counteractions from opponents, helping keep all players involved throughout the game with very little downtime. The full campaign can be completed in about one hour.
Diplomacy makes an Appearance as you struggle to turn opponents to Neutral and Neutrals to Allies.
For every Action you or your opponents play, there are always Responses to be played - you can even play Responses to your own action, creating a highly interactive fast playing game.
NAPOLEON RETURNS 1815 2nd EDITION
A strategic-level campaign game covering the Waterloo Campaign. With fewer than 25 pieces on the board, players focus on maneuver, positioning, and campaign decisions rather than large unit counts.
Limited movement points force players to carefully consider when and where to commit their forces. The mix of cavalry, artillery, and infantry within each corps creates different operational options and approaches during play.
The game supports 2–3 players and can be completed in about 90 minutes, making it well suited for multiple games in a single evening or organized tournament play. (RATED A 7.4 ON BOARDGAMEGEEK.COM)
What's New in the 2nd Edition:
- We've done away with the battle cards and players will now use a chart incorporating leaders, reinforcements, interception, unit mix, terrain, and more! This leads to faster game play and the ability to play solitaire (you play both sides to the best of your ability).
- Thick beautiful counters with rounded corners instead of wooden cubes. Unit information is on one side and a countries flag is on the other so you can add fog of war!
- Updated game board with new brighter colors.
- New beautiful thick sturdy game box.
ASPECTS OF WATERLOO
A fast-playing compact game for 1–2 players that recreates the climactic Battle of Waterloo, where Napoleon made his final attempt to defeat the Allied armies of Wellington and Blücher in 1815. The battle shifted constantly as commanders struggled to reinforce weak positions, launch attacks, and hold key ground under mounting pressure.
Designed for quick play in 30 minutes or less, players command their forces by issuing orders across the battlefield while reacting to changing conditions and enemy movements. The game also includes a solitaire system, allowing players to command either side in solo play.
EYLAU 1807 SOLITAIRE – BOARD GAME
Fight one of the harshest battles of the Napoleonic Wars in EYLAU 1807 SOLITAIRE BOARD GAME. Set during Napoleon’s winter campaign in East Prussia, the Battle of Eylau was fought in snow, freezing temperatures, and near-whiteout conditions as French and Russian forces struggled through one of the bloodiest engagements of the era.
Originally designed by Max Eisert as a book game, Eylau 1807 has now been converted into a full board game featuring mounted boards, cards, and thick counters designed for tabletop play. Built for solitaire play, the game includes 9 levels of AI BOT difficulty for each side, offering a wide range of challenge levels and replayability in games that play in under one hour.

Reviews
Review of Napoleon Returns 1815 (1st Edition) by The Discriminating Gamer on Youtube:
From Red_Herring, January 2026: 8.5 Rating (out of 10): Excellent 60-90 minute wargame that keeps you guessing--it's almost chess-like in the anticipation. Love the variable victory conditions for the French (prefer to pick over randomly select), and the combat system (from Hannibal) is also fun. Very high quality components. Does most of what Napoleon: The Waterloo Campaign from Columbia does but is a little cleaner. Worthington is really scratching my itch with a recent series of light weight, fast play games.
Review of One Hour World War II by The Discriminating Gamer on Youtube:
REVIEWS OF ONE HOUR WORLD WAR II FROM BOARDGAMEGEEK.COM:
From Aardvarkius, November 2025: 10 rating: Our weekly Tuesday Night Gaming group is usually 3-5 players and it can be difficult to find a wargame that supports those numbers of players... BUT One Hour World War II does and does it well.
While the rules are straightforward and not complex or complicated the game provides an incredible depth of play that keeps everyone involved regardless of whose turn it is.
Every decision is an important one and each player must be aware of every other player's situation. With the optional rules and additional chits I think the game will prove to have significant replay value. Definitely worth the price of entry!
From olilam, February 2026: 9 rating: Fantastic wargame. Can be played without dice. Really deep.
