—description du concepteur
Présentation de la campagne
ONE PAGE QUEST is a solo Print & Play game where an entire adventure fits on a single black-and-white printed sheet. Roll your dice, develop your Hero, face increasingly powerful enemies, and attempt to defeat the three Bosses standing in your way.
WHAT IS ONE PAGE QUEST?
Created by Léandre Proust and published by Grammes Édition, ONE PAGE QUEST is a SOLO game with sessions lasting approximately 45 minutes. Your adventure sheet contains everything you need to play: your Hero and their special ability, the enemies and Bosses you'll face, the Merchants, Equipment, Chests, and the various upgrades that will help your character grow throughout the game.
This is Print & Play in its purest form! No cards to cut out, no board to assemble. Just a single sheet to print in black and white. It serves as your game board, character sheet, and progression tracker all at once.
Our game design goal was simple: to capture the feeling of progression, optimization, growing power, and character building found in roguelikes, while keeping the format as minimalist as possible.
HOW TO PLAY?
1. Fight with Your Dice
Every fight begins with your 5 dice. Roll them and use your Rerolls to try to form the best possible Combination. Pair, Two Pair, Three of a Kind, Parity, Full House, Four of a Kind, or Five of a Kind: it's up to you to decide which dice to keep and how far you're willing to push your luck by rerolling the others.
Each die Face and Combination has Strength, Precision, and Gold values. Once you've settled on your final result, add up your Strength, then your Precision. Multiply the two totals to calculate your Power. If it reaches the threshold required to defeat your opponent, you win the fight. If it reaches at least twice that threshold, you achieve a Critical Victory and earn additional rewards.
2. Improve Your Hero
But the heart of the game lies in gradually building and improving your character. After each fight, your dice also give you access to different Merchants. Spend the Gold you've earned to permanently upgrade certain Faces or Combinations, purchase Equipment, and create synergies that will gradually transform the way you play.
3. Progress Toward the Final Boss
Each adventure is divided into three Acts. In each Act, you'll face three increasingly difficult Minions before challenging the Act's Boss. The first fights allow you to lay the foundations of your strategy. In Act II, your decisions begin to create powerful synergies. In Act III, your build is pushed to its limits, and every optimization can make the difference.
Losing to a Minion doesn't immediately end your adventure. You'll have to deal with that setback and keep going. However, losing to a Boss means losing the game. Your ultimate objective is simple: defeat the third Boss.
And for Adventurers who want to push their limits even further, Endless Mode lets you continue your adventure after defeating the third Boss. Simply erase the combat results and Rerolls from Acts II and III, then start again with all Power thresholds multiplied by 10. Put your Hero to the test and discover just how far you can push your build!

GENERATE ENDLESS UNIQUE ADVENTURES
You've just discovered ONE PAGE QUEST through a single adventure sheet. While this sheet offers a complete gaming experience, it's only a small sample of what ONE PAGE QUEST has to offer... Let us introduce you to OnePageQuest.com!
OnePageQuest.com is a website we've developed specifically to generate new adventures for you to print. Before generating a new adventure, choose the Hero you want to play and your preferred difficulty level. Our generator then selects and combines different elements (Bosses, Chests, Equipment, and Merchant items) to create a unique adventure sheet.
OnePageQuest.com does much more than generate a random PDF. It's the digital heart of your progression. It generates adventures based on the content available in your collection, saves your games, tracks your statistics, remembers your discoveries, and gradually expands the content available to you. OnePageQuest.com is fully responsive, with an interface designed to work on both desktop and mobile browsers.
CONTENT TO UNLOCK AS YOU PLAY
When you first start ONE PAGE QUEST, you'll only have access to a small portion of the content. One Hero, a few enemies, and a limited number of possibilities are enough to discover the game's mechanics without feeling overwhelmed. Then come your first victories.
ONE PAGE QUEST is built around a very simple gameplay loop: generate an adventure, print it, play it, try to win, and unlock new content through your victories. These newly unlocked elements gradually become available in your generator. New Heroes change the way you approach fights. New Bosses introduce new challenges. New Equipment opens up fresh synergies. New Chests change the rewards you might discover.
The current version of ONE PAGE QUEST already includes 50 Heroes, 36 Bosses, 66 Chests, and 110 pieces of Equipment to unlock progressively, along with the many Merchant items and their various versions.
PLENTY OF FEATURES ALREADY INCLUDED
Every adventure you generate is automatically added to your game history. You can revisit all your previous games, see which ones you've won or lost, download an adventure sheet again, and retry an adventure you previously failed.
Your account also keeps track of numerous statistics: games played, victories, defeats, results at different difficulty levels, games played with each Hero, and their respective performances. Your collection also records which content you've discovered and the date each element was unlocked.
Beyond your personal statistics, the “Around the Fire” section brings the community together through shared statistics: the total number of Adventurers, adventure sheets generated daily and weekly, the most-played Heroes of the week, and community victories across the different difficulty levels. It's a way to see how ONE PAGE QUEST is growing and evolving through its players.
SHARE YOUR BEST ADVENTURES
Every adventure sheet has a unique Seed, a code that allows you to recreate exactly the same adventure. Have you come across an especially difficult, entertaining, or unlikely adventure? Simply share its Seed with other players so they can generate exactly the same adventure. You can then compare strategies, challenge your friends, or have the entire community tackle the same adventure setup.
Every week, ONE PAGE QUEST also features a Weekly Challenge, offering all players the same Hero, difficulty level, and adventure sheet. Once you've completed the challenge, you can submit your score and publicly share your completed sheet, including a screenshot or photo, to appear on the leaderboard and compare your performance with other Adventurers. Same adventure, different strategies. Who will achieve the highest score?
PERSONAL SETTINGS
You can play in English or French, choose between A4 and US Letter paper sizes, and print your adventure in its original single-page format. If you prefer larger text and game elements for a more comfortable reading experience, an enlarged version spread across two pages is also available.
You can also choose to include the game rules in your printout. They'll automatically be added as the second page of your PDF. This option can be enabled or disabled at any time in your settings.
JUST ONE PLEDGE
For €8, you'll receive your personal Early Access to ONE PAGE QUEST on OnePageQuest.com. You'll be able to generate, download, print, and play as many adventures as you want.
ONE PAGE QUEST Early Access will open on December 1, 2026, at OnePageQuest.com! To ensure a gradual launch and provide the best possible experience for every player, we'll activate access in waves of 300 backers per day, in Kickstarter backer number order:
- December 1: Backers #1 to #300.
- December 2: Backers #301 to #600.
- December 3: Backers #601 to #900.
- And so on, with 300 additional backers gaining access each day.
In other words, the earlier you back ONE PAGE QUEST on Kickstarter, the sooner you'll be able to start playing!
Your account will be automatically activated on the date corresponding to your backer number. You'll then be able to log in to OnePageQuest.com using the email address associated with your Kickstarter pledge as your username and your backer number as your temporary password. When you log in for the first time, you'll be asked to replace it with a personal password.
Once your access is activated, you'll be able to enjoy all the features of ONE PAGE QUEST without restrictions: the adventure generator, four difficulty levels, English and French translations, progression system, gradual content unlocking, game history, statistics, Seeds, printing format options, and more.
Your pledge is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. You'll keep your access for as long as the OnePageQuest.com service remains available. This is an entirely digital reward. There are no physical products to wait for and no shipping fees to pay. Players will need five six-sided dice, a pencil, paper, ink, and a printer. VAT is included for backers in France and the European Union.
ADD-ON
Would you like to give someone their own personal Early Access to ONE PAGE QUEST? You can add as many additional Early Access passes to your pledge as you like.
These additional passes will be available directly from your OnePageQuest.com account as soon as it's activated, according to your Kickstarter backer number. You'll then be able to retrieve your gift vouchers and share them with anyone you choose.
To turn this digital access into a real gift, we've created a printable PDF gift voucher, designed to be printed, slipped into an envelope, and given just like any other present. Each voucher will include a unique activation code, allowing the recipient to create their own account and start enjoying ONE PAGE QUEST immediately.
This means you can give ONE PAGE QUEST as a Christmas present, a birthday gift, or for any other occasion, with something physical to hand over, even though the reward itself is entirely digital.
REVIEWS
LANGUAGES
ONE PAGE QUEST will be fully available in English and French from the start of Early Access. This includes the generator, adventure sheets, and game rules.
We'd love to make the game available in more languages in the future. There's a lot of content to translate, but if you're fluent in English or French and would like to help us adapt ONE PAGE QUEST into another language, feel free to contact us at leandre@grammesedition.fr.
WHY KICKSTARTER?
ONE PAGE QUEST isn't just an idea we're hoping to start developing after the campaign. The game has already been created. Its rules are playable. Its generator is functional. But that doesn't mean ONE PAGE QUEST is finished.
We see this Kickstarter campaign as the beginning of its Early Access. We already have a version that's developed enough to put into players' hands, but we want to continue balancing the game, expanding its content, improving the generator, and observing how thousands of different players interact with the systems we've created.
To achieve this, we need feedback, statistics, games played, unexpected situations we hadn't considered, and a community large enough to help us move the project forward.
Kickstarter isn't simply our sales platform. It's the starting point for the public development of ONE PAGE QUEST.
ROADMAP
Most board game Kickstarter campaigns require several months, sometimes even years, before backers receive their rewards. Manufacturing, transportation, customs, and logistics all take time. ONE PAGE QUEST works differently.
A DIFFERENT WAY TO ENJOY GAMES
ONE PAGE QUEST was designed to minimize the amount of physical material needed for each game. There are no boxes to manufacture, no inventory to store, and no physical copies to ship around the world. You simply print the adventures you're actually going to play, one black-and-white sheet at a time. No mass production, no overseas freight from a factory, no packaging, and no individual shipments to backers.
The game exists primarily in digital form until the moment you decide to play. Only then does it become physical, with a single sheet of paper, 5 dice you already own, and a pen.
THE TEAM
ONE PAGE QUEST is published by Grammes Édition, an independent French publisher specializing in original and accessible board game mechanics.
The project and game design are led by Léandre Proust. The graphics, layout, and development of OnePageQuest.com were created jointly by Léandre Proust and Clément Proust, allowing us to develop the game, its adventure sheet, and its generator together.
The game's visual universe is based on illustrations by Olekzandr Zahorulko, which have been specially reworked for ONE PAGE QUEST to adapt them to black and white and give the project its distinctive old-school fantasy RPG aesthetic.
OUR KICKSTARTER EXPERIENCE
This isn't Grammes Édition's first crowdfunding campaign. Over the past five years, we've launched several very different projects and brought together tens of thousands of backers.
The three seasons of Clash of Decks alone attracted more than 25,000 backers. More recently, the MICRO HERO: Hercules and MICRO HERO: Ulysses & Achilles campaigns brought together over 12,000 backers around our range of minimalist solo games.
We've also brought smaller projects to life, each of which found its own audience: MORPH, GameLib Pocket, and Acrylogic all attracted more than 2,000 backers each.
These campaigns have taught us how to handle every stage of a physical project: development, manufacturing, production, international transportation, customs, storage, preparing thousands of shipments, and customer support. They've also shown us the limitations of this model, particularly when shipping and customs requirements become more complicated, as we've recently experienced with deliveries to the United States.
This led us to ask ourselves a question: could we imagine a different kind of game that preserves the physical experience of paper, dice, and pencil while eliminating the need for manufacturing, storage, and international shipping? This idea directly inspired ONE PAGE QUEST.
With this project, the game remains physical when you play it, but it's generated and distributed digitally. No boxes to manufacture, no inventory to tie up resources, no ocean freight, and no packages to ship around the world. You simply print the adventure you want to play.
This approach is particularly consistent with our long-standing commitment to offering games at very affordable prices. In our previous pay-what-you-want campaigns, manufacturing and shipping inevitably represented a significant share of the costs and complexity. With ONE PAGE QUEST, we can focus much more directly on the game itself, its balance, its generator, and its community of players.
We also know how essential communication is on Kickstarter. Since ONE PAGE QUEST is being offered in Early Access, some things will inevitably evolve over time. If a feature changes, an issue arises, or an important decision needs to be made, we'll keep you informed throughout the development process.
