Uncover a slasher horror killer or battle an unstoppable cyborg in two new solo adventure gamebooks.

OɴᴇQᴜᴇsᴛs is a series of solo game books. Each story is a standalone adventure, and different OɴᴇQᴜᴇsᴛs cover different genres, from survival horror to science fiction to heroic fantasy.

These stories are interactive survival games with branching paths, deadly mistakes, secret opportunities, and high-stakes choices. Some scenes are straight narrative; others test your luck, instincts, or questionable life choices using a simple die roll system.

All you need to play a OɴᴇQᴜᴇsᴛs adventure is the book, a pencil, and one six-sided die.

This is not a normal story. You are not just reading, you are deciding, reacting, surviving. Every choice you make will shape what happens next. Some decisions will lead you closer to the truth; others will bring you face-to-face with something that does not stop, hesitate, or forget.

You’re about to step into a blood-splattered love letter to every slasher film that ever made you laugh, scream, or cover your eyes. Craven House puts you in the centre of the carnage—running, hiding, scheming, and occasionally making very questionable decisions.

Your goal is simple: Survive the night… or die trying.

You have arrived in a city that feels almost normal. Somewhere in this place is a person who matters more than they realise. Their survival will change the future in ways no one can fully explain.

But they are not alone. Something else is here, looking for them. It looks human. It moves like you. It speaks like you. But it is definitely not you. It has one purpose: find the target and eliminate them.

And now, whether you like it or not… you are involved.

To play a OɴᴇQᴜᴇsᴛs adventure, you need a single six-sided die, a pencil, and your chosen OɴᴇQᴜᴇsᴛs game book.

First you will create your character, or pick a pre-made archetype such as the Investigator, the Athlete, or the Heartbreaker. You have 9 total points to distribute between the three skills on your character sheet. Each book has different skills--Craven House has Brains, Brawn, and Charm, while Target Alpha has Awareness, Nerve, and Brawn.

Different books also have their own additional mechanics designed to enhance their theme.

Craven House features a Clue system which you use to uncover the killer’s identity and methods. In Target Alpha you'll track your Stress, Intel, Trust, and Resources.

Throughout the story, certain scenes contain hidden clues about the killer’s identity and methods. These clues are found by:

  • Observing carefully
  • Succeeding on Brains checks
  • Snooping in the wrong/right places
  • Overhearing the wrong/right people
  • Grabbing a wildcard clue when fate offers you one

Target Alpha tracks your characters stress along with Intel, Trust, and Resources. These are all noted on your character sheet as part of the Campaign Tracker.

The closer the hunter gets, the harder survival becomes, and the higher your Stress score might rise. You begin the game with 0 Stress. Whenever you make a skill check, you subtract your current Stress from the result.

If your Stress ever reaches 6 or higher, you suffer System Overload. Fear, exhaustion, and pressure finally break your ability to cope. Your story ends immediately.

Throughout the story, you may gain Intel, Trust, or Resources. These represent the advantages you build during your journey and may affect future scenes, rolls, and endings.
