Before 3D printers, tabletop worlds were built by hand.

The Fold-Flat City of Tarok brings that tradition back with modern design and detailed papercraft terrain. Print them at home, build them yourself, and place a fully playable town on your gaming table.

When the session ends, simply take the buildings apart and store the entire city flat.

Created by Lord Zsese Works, creator of more than 30 papercraft model series, together with Black Scrolls Games, the creators of the original City of Tarok terrain.

📦 Content of this project

This Kickstarter campaign will include 11 printable papercraft buildings, each adapted from the original City of Tarok models by Black Scrolls Games.

Each building contains approximately 10–40 pages, including model parts and instructions.

Every model includes:

• High-resolution printable sheets (300 DPI)
• Exterior and interior textures
• Fully playable interior spaces
• Detailed illustrated assembly instructions
• RoboCutter cutting files
• U.S. Letter printable format

🏘️ A Town That Folds Flat

Tabletop terrain is immersive, but it usually takes up a lot of space.

The Fold-Flat City of Tarok was designed to solve that problem.

Each building prints on standard paper, assembles into a detailed 3D structure, and can later be taken apart and stored flat between sessions.

Thanks to our Prop-X assembly system, the buildings are designed to be reusable and easy to store.

When your game night ends, your entire town can fit into a simple folder or envelope.

Building your terrain is part of the fun.

Each model begins as printable sheets that you turn into a detailed tabletop building using simple crafting tools.

The process is straightforward:

• Print the model pages at home
• Cut out the parts
• Fold and assemble the structure
• Place it on your tabletop for play
• Disassemble and store it flat after the session

This approach combines immersive terrain with the satisfaction of a DIY hobby project.
