Party Panic!
The great warriors reach the final dungeon level and encounter...An EARTHQUAKE?!
Time to PANIC!
The only way out is FORWARD!
Party Panic! is a cooperative, fast-paced, hectic, hack-and-slash card game!
Our Story
Our company name is Petro Gaming Group, and we have been friends for most of our lives, gaming together in between college, jobs, weddings, children, etc. In 2017 we set out to make our own game, Wizard Miners. We followed that up with First Impressions. For our third game, we set out to recreate the chaos of a good, ol-fashioned dungeon hack and slash in the form of an accessible, card-driven board game. Remembering the crazy battles over a table with D&D figures - complete with the yelling, blaming, and complaining about tactics and bad decisions! - Party Panic! was born. The theme was created to generate some chaos, but how would the game sustain a desperate rush to safety? Party Panic! does that by not allowing strategic discussions during battles, but still rewards players for coordinated efforts.
Game Theme
Party Panic! is a fast-paced cooperative dungeon-crawling adventure where a band of heroes race to defeat monsters and escape a collapsing dungeon before it's too late. With little time to plan and PANIC setting in, players must read each other's actions, build powerful card chains, and work together through laughter, chaos, and heroic last-second saves. Every battle is a frantic mix of teamwork, tough choices, and over-the-top fantasy fun.
The Basics of Play
Players each get a hand of 6 random cards to start. Those cards represent attack damage (arrows, fireballs, and swords), defense (shields), and healing (hearts). Most are worth 1 point of what they do, some are worth 2 or 3.
Jeremy, our artist, conceived of the idea that all of the cards would reflect "panic!"
Each card also had a number of chain links. Players play cards in turn - without strategy discussions! - If players manage to "chain" like cards (by adding up the number of chains in a row) they can double, triple or even quadruple the effect! Four chains of fireballs could do 20 damage in one attack! Shields block damage from monsters, and hearts heal.
Each round, the monster turns to face another "front of the party" member and does damage to some or all of the players.
Jeremy is working on our monsters now...this is a Jeremy inspired AI image.
The monster gets to defend themselves with Defense and Save dice!
Every time the players have to "rest", the Doom Clock moves closer to collapse! Players win if everyone gets out of the collapsing dungeon alive! In order to do that, they must defeat the last monsters standing in the way of the exit before the Doom Clock strikes Collapse!
Summary of Game Play
In Party Panic!, players work together to defeat a series of monsters while racing to escape a collapsing dungeon. Each round, players play cards representing attacks, shields, or healing. When players match card types in succession, they create powerful chains that multiply their effectiveness.
During battle, players cannot openly discuss which cards they plan to play. With only limited communication available, the party must rely on intuition, timing, and a bit of luck to coordinate their actions. This uncertainty creates the game's signature panic as players try to anticipate each other's moves, hoping to build powerful chains while avoiding costly mistakes.
After all cards are played, the party resolves its attacks against the monster, defends against the monster's counterattack, and distributes any healing earned during the round. The player at the front of the party then decides whether to press onward or retreat to recover and regroup.
As the adventure continues, players earn treasure, upgrade their abilities, and face increasingly dangerous monsters. The combination of mounting threats and restricted communication creates frantic moments of teamwork, quick thinking, dramatic successes, and plenty of laughter. To win, the party must defeat the final monster and escape before the dungeon collapses.
Why Party Panic! for your Next Game
Frantic Cooperative Fun
Every round is a race against disaster. Limited communication, fast decisions, and the constant threat of a collapsing dungeon create exciting moments of chaos, laughter, and heroic saves.
True Cooperative Gameplay
Victory and defeat are shared by the entire party. Players must work together, read each other's intentions, and celebrate as a team.
Easy to Learn, Challenging to Master
The core rules are simple enough to teach in minutes, but every battle presents meaningful decisions. Should you push forward or retreat? Spend treasure now or save it for later? Chase a powerful chain or play it safe? Success comes from balancing risk and reward.
Choose Your Level of Panic
Whether your group prefers a relaxed cooperative adventure or a frantic race against the clock, Party Panic! scales to match your style. Multiple difficulty levels and optional timers let you customize the experience from casual family fun to absolute dungeon-crawling chaos.

Budget, Funding, Production and Fulfillment
We are committed to 100% original art, and so we have to keep Jeremy busy! We hope to raise the necessary funds to complete the art work, manufacture at the best cost using the most responsible materials, and have the game to you within 8 months of our campaign being fulfilled.
We fully realize that our funding goal will not cover "all" the costs of our endeavor, but we are committed to production with the help of this goal. We anticipate using our funding in the following ways:
65% (approximately $9,000) towards manufacturing
20% (approximately $3,000) towards freight forwarding/fulfillment costs
15% (approximately $2,000) towards additional payment to our artist
Art
5 original item card images, 18 monsters, board art, box art etc. Our artist and graphic designer deserve great credit for capturing the theme of fun "panic" in the game.
Manufacturing
We will be narrowing down our list of potential manufacturers in the coming weeks, but the companies that we are considering are experienced and known in the industry. We have previously worked with Longpack Games for Wizard Miners and Magicraft for First Impressions. Both of those manufacturer's are quoting for Party Panic! along with a couple of newcomers to us, but well known to the gaming industry - Whatz Games, Sky Games, and Panda.
Production and Fulfillment
We are currently working with several manufacturers to give us several quotes to work with and to ensure that their process is up to our standards. We will be shipping to US addresses only, and will use the United States Postal Service as our primary delivery option.
We have worked with ARC Global in the past and are confident that shipping from an overseas manufacturer to our fulfillment center in New Jersey will go as well as it did with Wizard Miners - we were 4 weeks early then! We will be shipping Party Panic! to US addresses only at launch.
Our goal is to begin production within 2 months of a successful campaign. With a 2 month production period, including time to review a final prototype, our goal for the completion of production is January 2027. Overseas freight to New Jersey will take 10-12 weeks. Shipping to backers is anticipated to begin in May 2027.
Please note - we will be shipping ONLY to US Addresses in this campaign.
