Meet Plushie Panic!

Plushie Panic! is a fast, funny family card game where adorable plushies make questionable decisions, perfectly good plans fall apart, and nobody really knows what’s going to happen next.

Cute on the outside. Chaos on the inside.

We created Plushie Panic! around a simple idea: family games should actually be fun for the whole family. Kids should be able to understand the game quickly and feel like they can win, while adults should have enough strategy, humor, and unpredictability to genuinely want to play too.

No complicated setup. No score sheets. No board. No tiny pieces destined to disappear under the couch.

Just cards—and chaos.

So, how does the panic begin?

The basic gameplay is intentionally easy to learn.

Play a card. Make a clever move—or a questionable one. Mess with somebody else's plan. Draw a card. Try not to panic.

Along the way, you'll encounter cards like NOT TODAY!, YOUR PROBLEM NOW., THIS SEEMS FINE., I HAVE A PLAN., and the wonderfully dangerous WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

Then there are the PANIC! cards hiding in the deck.

That's when things get interesting.

Cards can save you, protect you, change what's coming, or send the problem straight toward somebody else. A perfectly reasonable strategy can turn into complete chaos in a matter of seconds.

And that's exactly the point.

Funny for kids. Clever for adults.

We didn't want Plushie Panic! to feel like a children's game adults politely agree to play.

And we didn't want to make an adult party game that kids couldn't join.

Instead, we're building something in the middle: easy, quick, mischievous family fun with humor that works at different ages.

A kid can laugh while handing Mom a YOUR PROBLEM NOW. card.

Mom can laugh because, frankly, that sentence describes most of parenting.

Everybody wins.

Well... technically only one person wins. 😏

Why plushies?

Because we loved the contradiction.

Our world is filled with ridiculously cute characters—our popcorn-loving penguin, suspicious purple cat, megaphone-wielding bunny, cheerful frog, and the bear who appears to be surviving entirely on CHAOS FUEL.

They look innocent.

They are not.

Each character brings personality to the cards, and together they create the bright pink, lavender and powder-blue world of Plushie Panic!

The artwork may be adorable, but underneath it is a game about risk, timing, clever choices, surprise twists, and occasionally doing something you know is a terrible idea simply because everyone at the table is yelling:

“DO IT!”

Why Kickstarter?

We've developed the concept, gameplay, characters, visual world, cards and packaging for Plushie Panic! Now we want to turn the project into a real, professionally produced card game.

That's where you come in.

We're raising funds for our first production run. Funding will help us move through final game development and testing, finalize production artwork, create manufacturing proofs, print the cards and packaging, manufacture the first run, and prepare the finished games for our backers.

We're deliberately keeping the physical game simple: cards, box and instructions.

No unnecessary components. The fun should come from what happens around the table, not from how much stuff we can squeeze into the box.

We're REQ Games, an independent game brand built around a simple philosophy: games should be easy to pick up, hard to put down, and capable of getting everyone around the table laughing.

Plushie Panic! is one of the worlds we're especially excited to bring to life.

We're starting small, building thoughtfully, and using Kickstarter to find the people who want to be there at the beginning.

Backing this campaign isn't simply pre-ordering a deck of cards. You're helping us take Plushie Panic! from an idea we've built and loved into a real game families can put on their tables.
