How to Play

1. Choose Your Element

Before the battle begins, claim your elemental deck and matching custom dice. Will you command the burning rage of Fire, the unyielding defense of Earth, or the fluid versatility of Water?

2. Choose Your Target

On your turn, declare a duel against any opponent. As the aggressor, you hold the initiative—but victory is never guaranteed.

3. Roll the Custom Dice

Both players roll their bespoke elemental dice to determine the outcome of the clash, allocating faces to launch fierce offenses or fortify defensive barriers. Don't like your initial spread? Both attacker and defender can push their luck with a high-stakes re-roll mechanic to turn the tides.

4. Channel Wild Runes & Activate Abilities

Modify the battlefield by spending your Runes (upgrade tokens). These powerful tokens can be used to alter dice results, boost your defense, maximize your damage when it matters most, or if you're lucky enough for wild runes, activate your special ability. Every clash shapes your sorcerer; spend your experience to permanently upgrade your powers, turning low-level spells into game-ending ultimate power.

5. Adapt & Upgrade

Win, lose, or draw, every clash fuels your growth. Convert the raw energy of battle into permanent upgrades, evolving low-level spells into game-ending ultimate abilities as your board presence grows.

6. Survive the Chaos

When a sorcerer becomes too powerful, politics take center stage. Forge temporary treaties with rival players to bring down the biggest threat on the board. Just keep one eye on your "allies"—the moment the top threat falls, the truce shatters.

Our Story: From Game Night to Game Creators

We're just some friends who started off playing games together, meeting on a regular basis.

What started as a routine game night quickly turned into something much bigger. Over countless hours of tabletop battles, we developed a deep friendship—and an incredibly strong competitive nature. Trying to find passion in work, a suggestion came to create a unique board game and decided to go for it! After months of too much perfectionism, it was time to test and work on something to be able to share.

We built Primal Forces from the ground up, balancing the mechanics over dozens of playtests, debates, fun and maybe some anxiety as well. What you see available on this page today is the result of that passion. We are working hard to continue to grow our library of games, and by backing this project, you aren't just buying a game—you're helping a dream come to life.
