Le tag « Jeu de plateau » est trop générique : il sera retiré. Jusqu'à 3 tags du site. Le tag STL retire la fiche du catalogue (fichier 3D, pas un jeu). Ensuite plus de modification ici : un mauvais tag se signale.

During my senior year of high school, I was given the task as my AP Language final to develop any creative representation about a topic I felt passionate about. It was before my teacher even got through describing the project to us that the idea for Renewables was born. Inspiration flowed out and by the end of the class I had a rough idea of this card game based around renewable energy that I wanted to create, and a short week later I even had some rudimentary cards and rules to present.
Since that day in class, I have continued to develop and build this game, and I am now working towards trademarking; hiring an artist; and with your help, publishing it with the final goal of selling my game in stores to educate others on the importance of going green and conservation efforts.

There are many animals in this world who have rapidly declining populations due to climate change issues caused by humans. I want to be part of the change that allows these animals to recover and begin to thrive again on this single planet that we all call home. Through this game you can explore how we can turn back the clock, using green energy sources to mitigate the damages we have been, and still continue to cause, and how we can help conserve the species who have been paying the price for our carelessness.

This game consists of five main card types. Endangered Species, or, player cards, are all species that are in one way or another affected by climate change. They all have special abilities that relate to their animal. Renewables are the main focus of the game. Players collect them in order to deal damage to their opponent, which is the overall objective to win the game. Energy is what is used to power renewables, without them players cannot progress. When drawn, Conditions affect all players in the game simultaneously. Finally, Item cards are used by a single player to give themselves an advantage, or to disadvantage another player.

As time has progressed, I have officially hired an artist to replace the placeholder art currently seen on cards with consistent and original art specifically tailored for Renewables. My artist is currently working hard on this momentous task, keep an eye out on my social media pages and campaign updates to see sneak peaks at her work!

Picture these concepts: from large scale wind farms and massive hydro dams, down to our smallest critters like the European Hamster or the Red Panda. I am excited for these visions to become realities in small scale card format as my artist continues to work hard.

This goal of raising $2,000 is a singular milestone in the road to having this game made available to play in your own home. This is a major step into turning my concept into having its own visual identity. Help me unlock this milestone by contributing to my campaign today, and placing your brick in this monument of collaboration.

Please note that all cards seen in the following photo are prototypes for play-testing purposes:

Thank you for helping me make this dream a reality. -Riley
