Reva’s Guide To Spectacular Sea Life - D&D 5e Supplement

Statut actuel
Fonds récoltés : 1 390 €
"Dive under the waves into an ocean filled with magical sea life, for your 5e roleplaying campaigns.
Reva will be your slightly unwilling guide to a wide range of sea life, including fish that grant boons, squid with unique ink, starfish that help regeneration, kelp that protects against undead, shells that teleport you to the nearest sea and much more!
This book contains over 80 pages of fully illustrated sea life, which make it easy to add some fun and variety to your 5e adventures when they head under the waves."
This Kickstarter is for a square hardback book full of Magical Sea Life.
It's an unofficial supplement to Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, compatible with both 5e and 5.5e, and hosts a wide range of magical creatures and items those creatures provide. All the creatures have full stat blocks, but they are not designed to be monsters to fight, rather than a way to make your world feel unique and alive with magic... not that there aren't a few that wouldn't present a challenge should your adventurers get on the wrong side of them!
This is the second book in the series, after Tallith's Guide to Fantastical Fungi, which was 1100% funded on Kickstarter.
Each fish, mammal, reptile, aquatic plant and everything inbetween is written and fully illustrated by Kate Silver, with cover artwork by Lyndon White, and edited by Phil Welch.
Unlike the previous book by Tallith, Reva is a little less... professional in her presentation, being somewhat coerced into writing the book. While in Tallith's Guide you would find everything categorised nicely, Reva is more likely to present her categories as 'Fish' and 'Not Fish', as you can see below:
Each sea creature is illustrated, with many having accompanying items, such as the Null Nudibranch with its Null Oil, as featured below. Alongside creature stat blocks and their magical effects, each item includes Reva’s notes about them, which is often more flippant than not.
The extra content will be included in the book for every backer level, digital and physical. The Item Cards will only be available to physical book pledges.
Below is my estimated timeline of all the stages of the project:
The PDF version will be sent out via a Google Drive link, when I have finished the stretch goal updates and finalised the print version, aiming to have it to you in January 2027.
Shipping in the UK will be sent by Royal Mail and will cost £4.
Shipping internationally will also be sent by Royal Mail and will cost £17. If there are any duties or taxes applicable when receiving the shipment, it is the backers responsibility to pay these.
There are a few add-on options, from the previous book 'Tallith's Guide to Fantastical Fungi' that was successfully funded four years ago:
- PDF of 'Tallith's Guide to Fantastical Fungi' - Umlimited
- Physical Hardback Book of 'Tallith's Guide to Fantastical Fungi' - Limited to 30
- Seven A6 mushroom cards featuring popular fungi from the book - Limited to 100
Physical Book
"Jump into a magical world of mushrooms for your 5e roleplaying campaigns.
Tallith will be your guide to a wide range of fantastical fungi, from mushrooms that can distort time and luck, to toadstools that force you to grow a second head!
This book contains over 50 fully illustrated mushrooms, which make it easy to add some fun and variety to your 5e adventures. It’ll turn that next trip through the forest, or visit to the herbalist, truly unique."
Item Cards
This is the second book by Runic Sea Press, which made up of several people with huge love and enthusiasm for Dungeons and Dragons.
There are more in process that will be coming down the line, so keep an eye out!
