We will be using Kickstarter.com to manage pledges and multiple Shipping Hubs around the world to manage shipping and fulfillment costs after the campaign. Due to the current volatility of shipping costs, shipping payments will be collected in Kickstarter well after the end of the campaign, close to our ship date, and will be based on shipping weight and actual shipping costs incurred. This will allow us to present the most accurate and up-to-date prices to pass savings on to you, our valued backers.
You will receive an email from Kickstarter.com a few months after the campaign to confirm your pledge and add any additional items you would like. In the Kickstarter pledge manager, you will be able to:
Please be aware that the shipping rate estimates provided in the table below are only approximations for shipping weights.
The prices mentioned do not include any optional items you may select. Optional items will increase shipping cost.
Final charges for shipping and sales tax or VAT (where applicable) will be determined based on actual shipping and tax costs incurred.
As of right now, we will be fulfilling all orders from hubs in the United States, Canada, EU, UK, Asia, and Australia. Orders from any other regions will be fulfilled from our hub in the United States. Shipping is customs/duty friendly in the U.S., EU, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. If you’re outside these regions, your local postal service may charge extra fees when your package arrives. Import taxes or VAT (if applicable) are set by your country and are the responsibility of the backer. Every country has its own rules, so if you’re unsure, we recommend checking with your local customs office before you pledge.
Note that, in compliance with sales tax law, we will be required to charge sales tax in Kickstarter for backers living within the United States and Canada. Also in compliance with EU and UK laws, VAT will be charged in Kickstarter.com for EU and UK backers. We cannot provide an accurate estimate of sales tax / VAT total since charges vary by location and are based on the total price of the order plus shipping costs. These rates will be determined accurately by the pledge manager and shipping manager. The full sales tax / VAT to be charged on each pledge will be clearly displayed in our pledge manager or shipping manager before final shipping confirmation.
Unfortunately, import laws prohibit us from shipping games to certain countries. WE DO NOT SHIP TO: Iran, Russia, Venezuela, Afghanistan, and Cuba.
Please note that we can only guarantee delivery for pledges that are confirmed in Kickstarter.com within the specified deadlines. Unfortunately, we won't be able to deliver unconfirmed pledges.
Please be aware that the shipping rate estimates provided in the table below are only approximations for shipping weights. The prices mentioned do not include any optional items you may select. Optional items will increase shipping cost.
Hi, we're Amy and Dusty! We are high school sweethearts and have been playing games together since we were kids! Our love for tabletop games started with Magic, Battletech, Dominion, Small World, Munchkin...you name it! We even played our fair share of Rummy with Dusty’s 90-year-old grandmother.
After our son was born, we started Rody and Rory Lavender Farm. We planted several hundred lavender plants and began creating custom flower presses. I started studying flower farming, while Dusty, who LOVES miniatures, started painting them.
It was then that our epiphany happened...we could take everything we had learned over years of running our businesses and use it to make a board game! Dusty had grand plans for miniatures and fantasy sci-fi games (and that will still happen!), but, like everything else in our lives, flowers started to take over. I wanted to include all my favorite things: vintage book design, beautiful flower illustrations, vintage maps, travel, and period pieces. (I’m a sucker for British TV dramas and everything Jane Austen.)
And thus, our first board game, Botany, was created! We are beyond grateful to all the backers who brought Botany to life. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that it would do so well! While creating Botany, we dreamed up so many other games and worlds that we hoped to someday share. Thanks to your incredible support, those daydreams have become Botany, La Fleur, Artistry, Endearment, Botany: Floral Dragons, and now, Reverie.
Have we mentioned that before creating our board game company, we photographed weddings for nearly 20 years? Being artists ourselves, we knew that with Reverie we wanted to explore not only the act of creating art, but the wonderful and sometimes unexpected places where inspiration begins.
I minored in art history in college and studied several different artistic mediums. I especially loved printmaking. There was something almost meditative about carefully wiping the ink from a plate and watching an image slowly emerge through the process. Dusty loves painting miniatures, and photography taught both of us to look a little more closely at the world around us: at color, light, composition, and all the tiny details that might otherwise go unnoticed. That idea became the heart of Reverie.
When we create our games, I am almost constantly daydreaming about them. Inspiration can come from practically anywhere. A beautiful teapot might inspire the graphics on the box. A vintage advertisement might become the starting point for the back of a card. A painting, an old book, a garden, a scrap of fabric, or a place we visit might spark the graphic design of a game board or even an entirely new game. Sometimes the smallest discovery sends an idea wandering in a completely unexpected direction.
And that is really what Reverie is about. It is a game about artists discovering inspiration in the world around them, forming friendships, learning from others, experimenting with their craft, and slowly finding their own artistic voice. In many ways, it reflects how we create our games and how we have always experienced art ourselves.
We hope that as you play Reverie, you find yourself getting a little lost in its world, noticing the beautiful details, and perhaps even remembering what it feels like to be inspired by something completely unexpected. After all, you never quite know where your next daydream might lead.
This project is promoted by Jellop, the ad tech power behind the best Kickstarter launches with 6,000+ successful Kickstarter projects and over $1.4Bn raised in total.
