RING OF SHIT
The drinking game where winning is losing.
You know that point in the night where everyone’s had a couple of drinks, somebody’s invented a ridiculous rule, one mate has forgotten what’s going on, and suddenly the quietest person in the room is standing on a chair shouting at everyone?
That’s basically where RING OF SHIT begins.
RING OF SHIT is an 18+ party board game inspired by the chaos of classic drinking games like Ring of Fire — except we’ve taken that chaos, put it on a 50-space board, thrown in Chance cards, Mini Games, stupid rules, terrible decisions and one absolutely horrifying Dirty Pint waiting in the middle.
And there’s one important difference…
YOU DO NOT WANT TO WIN.
The first player to reach the end has to drink the Dirty Pint.
Congratulations.
You won.
Idiot!
SO… WHAT THE SHIT IS THIS?
The rules are simple enough to understand even after a few drinks.
Roll the dice.
Move around the board.
Do what the space tells you.
Try not to reach the middle.
Along the way you’ll hit things like Pour, Chance, Shot, Thumb Master, Clap Master, Floor Is Lava, Choose a Mate, Make a Rule, Rock Paper Scissors and plenty more.
Land on Pour and you add some of your drink to the Dirty Pint in the middle.
Beer? Fine.
Cider? Fine.
Spirits? Dangerous.
Some questionable mixer nobody actually likes? Absolutely.
As the game goes on, that innocent-looking glass slowly becomes a crime against beverages.
And somebody is drinking it.
Preferably not you.
THEN THE CHANCE CARDS START RUINING FRIENDSHIPS.
Think you’re safely miles away from the finish?
Cute.
A Chance card might send you backwards, forwards, back to the start, swap you with another player, make someone drink, give you immunity or completely screw up whatever strategy you thought you had.
Some cards save you.
Some cards destroy you.
And some cards make the entire table point and laugh while you reconsider your choice of friends.
Exactly as intended.
AND THEN WE ADDED MINI GAMES… BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE BOARD WASN’T STUPID ENOUGH.
During the game if you roll a six you could end up battling another player — or dragging the whole table into a Mini Game.
Cup flips. Dice battles. Staring contests. Thumb wars. Dance-offs. Coin games. Categories. Rhyming. Cup towers. Trying not to laugh. And a collection of other challenges that become significantly harder once everyone’s had a few.
The best bit?
In a lot of the Mini Games, winning moves you backwards and losing sends you closer to the finish.
So suddenly everyone is desperately trying to be brilliant at something completely ridiculous…
Because being good at it might save them from drinking the swamp in the middle.
WHY DID I MAKE THIS?
There isn’t some massive games company behind RING OF SHIT.
It’s basically just me.
And I’ll be the first to admit the artwork isn’t going to win any design awards and yes I’ve had some help with AI but it does the job, it fits the game, and we’ve done our best with it. We’re not professional designers or some big-budget games studio here is the proof to prove it we started out on paper.
I’m just your average bloke trying to turn an idea I had with my mates into a real game that other people can enjoy.
It might not be polished by a team of fancy designers, but that’s kind of the point.
RING OF SHIT has been put together the same way the game itself was created: with a sense of humour, a few questionable decisions and a determination to make something bloody fun.
I’m a guy who likes having a drink, having a party and laughing with my mates.
I’ve played Ring of Fire for as long as I can remember, and some of the funniest nights I’ve had started with a deck of cards, a few drinks and everyone slowly forgetting the rules.
I kept thinking:
What if you could turn that kind of night into a proper board game?
Something you could pull out at a house party, take on a weekend away, bring to pre-drinks or stick on a pub table and know that within half an hour somebody is going to be doing something completely ridiculous.
So I started making it.
One idea turned into a board.
The board turned into Chance cards.
Then came Mini Games.
Then the Dirty Pint.
Then somehow I found myself spending far too much time designing cartoon shit emojis holding pints.
And here we are.
I’m not doing this because I think I’m going to become some board-game billionaire and retire to a mansion with a beer tap in every room.
I’d obviously take the mansion.
But that isn’t why I’m doing it.
I want people to play this game.
I want groups of mates cracking up around a table.
I want videos of disastrous Mini Games.
I want to see somebody confidently celebrating because they rolled exactly what they needed… before remembering that reaching the end means drinking the Dirty Pint.
If this game ends up creating the same kind of ridiculous memories for other people that drinking games have created for me and my mates over the years, then I’ll be pretty bloody happy.
WHAT YOU’RE BACKING
You’re helping turn RING OF SHIT from one bloke’s questionable idea into a proper physical party game.
The game is designed for 2–6 players, aged 18+, and includes the full board-game experience:
● The RING OF SHIT game board
● Player counters and die
● A full deck of Chance Cards
● A full deck of Mini Game Cards
● The rules
Bring your own drinks.
Bring your mates.
Bring whatever dignity you have left.
We can’t guarantee you’ll leave with it.
WHY KICKSTARTER?
Because I want to make this happen.
Backing the campaign helps get the first proper production run made and gets RING OF SHIT into the hands of the exact people it was created for:
people who like parties, stupid games, bad decisions and laughing at their mates.
So if that sounds like you…
Welcome.
Grab some friends.
Fill your glass.
Roll the dice.
And remember the most important rule of all:
AVOID THE CENTRE.
AVOID THE DIRTY PINT.
AVOID WINNING.
RING OF SHIT… WINNING IS LOSING.
