🎲 How To Play

In the heat of battle, exploiting Elemental Weaknesses is key to gaining the upper hand!

When a Beast has an elemental advantage, it deals Double Damage.

Status Effects can turn the tide of battle, for better... or Worse. Mastering them will give you an edge in combat, allowing you to outmaneuver even the most Powerful Foes!

If you draw a Beast on your turn, you may choose to request help from other players, and they may choose whether or not to assist. They may help you out of the kindness of their hearts... Or, even better, Start Negotiations.

Maybe the helping player wants the Stat Point for defeating the Beast, or to be the first to try and Capture it, or one of your Items... Or something else entirely.

⚔️ Challenge Modes

🗡️ Solo?

Yes! The game can be played solo. In Solo Mode, the Boss is your competition. Either you beat them and Win... or are defeated... No retries. Game over!

All other base rules are the same. The only Optional Challenge Mode that wouldn't apply is PVP, of course.

We encourage people to play how they want. Home-Brew rules are also allowed. 😉

The following stretch goals are things that do not affect gameplay in any way, but are things we think would be nice to have.

Of course it costs extra for us to add them though... hence stretch goals. 😉

🚚 Shipping

Important: Sorry, but we are unable to ship to Russia, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, Iraq, Syria, South and Central America, Turkey.

Due to high rates of packages going missing in some countries, we will not re-send games if they go missing to the following countries: Pakistan and Nigeria.

Israel may have additional fees due to dangerous handling being imposed by couriers to the region.

Will the New EU €3 Customs Charge Affect Shipping?

In short, No.

As the fulfillment partner has a hub/warehouse in the EU, our understanding is that the €3 Customs Charge would apply to the bulk shipment of games to that warehouse, not each individual game.

Either way, we have no intention of adding an extra charge for that. It is more important to us to get the game made and into the hands of players. :)

As US-China tariffs may change, there is no way for us to know right now what they will be when we begin fulfillment.

Any additional tariff charges will only apply to our US backers, and will be collected in the pledge manager when we are preparing for fulfillment, if the tariffs are still active at that time.

If tariffs are high, we'll do our best to cover a small portion of the cost. 😊

If you're a Brick-and-Mortar store (FLGS) with a physical location and a Tax ID number, you’re welcome to support the campaign through our "Retailer Pledge" tier.

Retail backers will receive the same version of Rogue Beasts as the rest of our backers, with orders shipping at the same time.

Your pledge will act as a deposit and will be applied toward your final invoice, which will be sent out prior to fulfillment.

During the Kickstarter campaign, if you wish to cancel your pledge, simply follow the steps outlined by Kickstarter and the process will be handled automatically by them. Your card will not be charged before the funding period ends.

If you wish to cancel your pledge after the funding period has ended, you will receive a refund of 90% of the pledged amount. This refund will be processed using your original payment method, and will be processed through Kickstarter.

The 10% deduction is to cover fees that have already been paid to Kickstarter, and any associated credit card processing fees. These fees are non-refundable to us.

This Kickstarter is being funded in CAD, so refunds are based on the CAD value received. In calculating the refund amount, we will round to the nearest whole dollar. We are not responsible for changes in the rate of foreign exchange.

Once we have started packing pledges for shipment, we will no longer be able to provide refunds. We cannot cancel or refund a pledge once it has shipped.
