The History of Roll Call
Many years ago, my boys wanted to play army men. They loved it. I got bored.
So I did what any game‑loving dad would do—I combined some of the war games I've always loved into something brand new.
Roll Call was born.
Now the army men fight with dice. The kids add up their own rolls to see who wins—sneaky math that feels like play. And the action stays fast and active, so younger kids never tune out.
The name? In the military, roll call checks who's ready. In our game, it's the moment you roll, add, and cheer.
This isn't a studio game. It's from our living room floor—plastic soldiers, flying dice, and two boys who just wanted to play with their dad.
Fun for all ages. Smart enough for adults. Simple enough for kids.
Let the roll call begin.
— A dad who got bored and got creative
