You will visit impossible cities, vitrified deserts, technological ruins and you’ll take part in non-violent demonstrations to defend natural magic. As you travel through Weyrd, you can take pictures, play your favourite music, and share memories in your Travelogue.

TITLE: Milestones: The Stages of the Journey Each session of Runeway is called a Milestone and is divided into three phases. Getting Ready to Leave Choose your destination, generate the Place you’ll visit, and perform Runic Divination to glimpse what awaits you. On the Road The core of the adventure: travelling, encounters, Seals, and unexpected twists. Well-Deserved Rest Update your Travelogue, choose photos of the journey, and prepare for the next step. Milestone after Milestone, your party progresses along The Path, discovering who they truly are and what their destination means.

Title: What Type of Magic Will You Prefer? Natural Magic is ecological, powerful and gets borrowed from Spirits by Witches. Artificial Magic is technological and widely used. Spirits get trapped in batteries by Wizards to generate energy, and can be found in everyday objects such as walkmans, arcade cabinets and vehicles. In Runeway, you don’t have to prepare anything in advance: even the RPG session facilitator, called The Compass, discovers the story alongside the group! Title: Runes and Seals The narrative progression of this role-playing game is marked by Seals, which are obstacles that players have to overcome combining their efforts. A Seal is composed of fragments that must be unlocked. To unlock a single fragment of a Seal, you’ll need to roll the Futhark runes, drawing them from a cloth bag. The runes will tell you whether you have achieved a Full Success, a Success with Consequences or a Failure.

Runeway is powered by a rune-based system inspired by the ancient Futhark. Through divination, players shape the story... but the runes can unleash devastating cataclysms. Play Runeway online with our free Discord bot (EN / IT)!

TITLE: The Map of Weyrd Every group creates its own version of Weyrd. The game includes a foldable cardboard map that evolves as you play. Using removable stickers, you generate places, mark your route, and record the locations you discover during your journey. No two Weyrds are ever the same.

TITLE: Tons of Archetypes and Species! Each party chooses the Archetype it wants to play. You might play: → The Activist Witches → The Archwizards → The Dungeoneers → The Roaming Band → The Dustriders The world of Weyrd is inhabited by countless species. In the Corebook you will find 16 different species to play, each with its own traits, appearance and peculiarities.
