Sangrya Playing Cards (*SHIPPING ONLY TO UNITED STATES*)

The Sangrya deck has 55 cards (♣♠♦❤️ A-K plus 2 Jokers and 1 misc. Card) It is divided into 3 black monster (vampire, werewolf, gorgon) suits and 1 red sangrya (carnivorous monster eating plant) suit. Cards will feature red gilded edges and will be printed on either plastic or 310gsm German black core paper.

As of now we are finalizing the court card artwork and the card back design. The number cards are mostly done, we are just testing some minor graphic design updates. Our Sangrya games uses Jugglers instead of Jacks, Knights instead of Kings, and Queens as the most powerful face card but the cards can be played per the typical order if you use them for your own games. 

Sangrya is a carnivorous monster eating plant that bears magical blood fruit in a world full of vampires, werewolves, gorgons, and deadly love triangles. It is our latest storyworld project about romantasy, monsters, and transformation. Here are some of our sangrya plants concept art.

Heartbreakers - A 3player one page RPG.

Be part of a love triangle between a werewolf, vampire, and a gorgon. Break monster hearts by revealing love letters full of raw desires, shared memories, and heartfelt apologies. A 1 page RPG where you draw and play cards and have the winning player be the one to write a quick love letter to another player who then reads it out loud. 

Sangrya Games - A multiplayer light roleplaying party game
Play as monstrous jugglers, knights, or queens in the games of the colosseum. A fun ice-breaker game where folks get to create quirky memories introducing each other as monstrous gladiators and "battle" each other.

Sangrya's Cup - A light roleplaying party drinking game
Play as vampires, werewolves, and gorgons inside a bar. Inspired by the famous drinking game, King's Cup.

The Team

Sangrya started as a short story collaboration project between comicalfoods publisher Christian Ochoa and co-writer Celine. When Christian pivoted from comics to games we decided to make this a game project focused around playing card mechanics and a custom card deck. Zi Xu recently joined the collaboration team and we are very excited to see her bold brush art style into the world of Sangrya!

Process Work: 

During this month of October we will aim to finish most of face card art of the Sangrya deck and share our process work along the way on here, social media, and on youtube. Here is some of our work:

We were only planning to create one deck but if we pass $3000 we will add another reward for a night deck that incorporates some moon cycle icons and some full moon transformations! It might look something like this:
