Shake it UP!

It’s a hot summer day, the jukebox is playing your favorite tune, and the diner is buzzing with the sound of ice clinking in tall, frosty glasses.

Welcome to the golden age of the American diner!

Today, you’re behind the counter, ready to create the most delicious milkshakes in town. Bananas, strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, oranges… the choice is yours. But making the perfect shake is not as easy as it looks. You’ll need to pick the right fruits, match them with the right colors, and plan your combinations carefully.

Shake it UP! is a roll-and-write game played over 12 rounds. In each round, two dice are rolled, determining which milkshakes can be prepared, while the choice of fruits is entirely in your hands. Easy to learn and smooth to play, it’s a perfect game for lazy Sunday afternoons!

Every round, the dice will give you a choice of colors. What you do with them is up to you. Build your fruit matrix, collect the ingredients you need, and turn them into delicious milkshakes.

To play Shake it UP!, you’ll need one printed game sheet for each player, two ordinary six-sided dice, and six colored pencils or crayons. Ideally, each player should have their own set of colors, but one set can also be shared between players. You can use any six colors you like.

By backing Shake it UP!, you’ll receive the game sheets in three different versions:

• Full-color with predefined colors - ready to play with minimal setup.
• Full-color with customizable colors -choose your own set of six colors.
• Low-ink with customizable colors -the same flexibility while using less ink.

The customizable versions require a little more preparation, but they also make the game more accessible to colorblind players, as each player can use a different set of six colors. And of course, all unlocked stretch goals will be provided in all three versions.

Here you’ll find a quick overview of the game flow. This is not the complete rulebook, but the information provided is enough to understand the key mechanics and how the game works.
