What is Sheol 2.0?
Sheol 2.0 is the refined and expanded edition of Sheol. It builds on the original game with updated rules, improved balance, clearer systems, and new content—while preserving the dark atmosphere and core identity of the original experience.
Is Sheol 2.0 a new game or an upgrade?
Sheol 2.0 is a reworked edition, not a completely different game. If you already own Sheol, you’ll recognize the foundation—but many mechanics, components, and flows have been improved based on playtesting and community feedback.
What has changed compared to the original Sheol?
Sheol 2.0 includes:
- Revised and clarified rules
- Improved balance and pacing
- Enhanced solo mode
- Updated components and layouts
- New content and events
- All changes aim to make the game smoother, deeper, and more intuitive without losing its original soul.

Is Sheol 2.0 compatible with previous Sheol content?
Yes. Most previous content is compatible or has been adapted for Sheol 2.0. When adjustments are needed, they are clearly explained in the rulebook or provided as updated materials.
Do returning backers need to buy everything again?
No. Sheol 2.0 is designed to respect returning backers. If you already own parts of the game, you’ll have access to upgrade pledges instead of rebuying redundant content.

What languages will be supported?
Sheol 2.0 will support multiple languages. English is guaranteed at launch, and additional languages will be added based on demand and community collaboration.
Is Sheol 2.0 playable solo?
Yes. Sheol 2.0 features a fully supported solo mode, redesigned to be more strategic, challenging, and engaging compared to the original version.
Is this game story-driven or mechanic-focused?
Both. Sheol 2.0 combines strong narrative elements with deep mechanical systems. Player choices, events, and branching paths shape each campaign while maintaining a solid strategic core.
Will backer feedback influence the final version?
Absolutely. Just like the original Sheol, backer feedback is a key part of development. Fine-tuning, clarifications, and minor balance updates may be implemented during and after the campaign.
When will Sheol 2.0 be delivered?
Estimated delivery timeline is June 2027. We prefer realistic schedules over rushed production and will keep backers updated regularly throughout development.
Is this project beginner-friendly?
Sheol 2.0 is more accessible than the original, but it remains a deep, mature game. Clearer rules and better onboarding help new players, while experienced players will enjoy the added depth.
Why Gamefound and not Kickstarter?
Because Gamefound offers creators tools that Kickstarter hasn't provided yet. For a small company like us, those tools are really useful.
Will you offer Stretch pay?
Yes! In fact, it’s one of the key reasons we chose Gamefound.
Will there be shipping issues, or can we feel confident?
After our experience with Sheol, we’ve become much more skilled at managing every phase of product development — from manufacturing to delivery. Over time, we've built reliable partnerships and successfully delivered Lumen Tarot, Solace and Candelabria.
Will you use AI for images or anything else?
Absolutely not! Not even as a base. While we used it previously in another project for experimentational purposes, Sheol will contain no AI-generated content whatsoever.
Will Sheol 2.0 be available at retail?
We’re not sure yet. None of our previous projects have reached retail so far — so if you're interested, it's best to grab it while it's available!
What is the Painter Set? Does it include different Scouts?
No, the Painter Set includes the same Scouts as the other packs. It basically offers a full set of Scout miniatures for painters (who may want to paint them in different colors to represent corruption) or for collectors.
Does the Upgrade Pledge include the Acrylic Standees?
Yes, it includes all of them.
Will this new version include double-layered boards?
Yes, they are already included.
