SquishyPoo - The Party Card Game

Statut actuel
Who will survive the most disgusting dinner ever?
SquishyPoo is a fast and chaotic party card game where you serve disgusting food to your friends, protect your own stomach, and try to be the last player standing.
2–8 players · Around 15 minutes · Ages 14+ · English and French
Somebody at this table is about to run for the toilets...
In SquishyPoo, every player starts with five cards.
On your turn, you make one simple choice: play one card or draw one card. That’s it. No complicated phases, resources, or fifteen-minute explanation before your first game.
Serve Crappy Meals to the other players and pile them onto their plates. Once a player has eaten three, they become vulnerable to the dreaded SquishyPoo. Reach five Crappy Meals and their stomach explodes automatically.
Fortunately, you can eat Healthy Meals to recover, play Defense Cards to cancel or return an attack, and unleash Special Cards capable of turning the entire table against one unfortunate friend.
The first player is whoever pooped most recently. That sentence usually starts the first argument—and that is when the game truly begins.
Five types of cards. Endless ways to ruin dinner
Crappy Meals
Serve suspicious, expired, and deeply regrettable dishes to the player of your choice. Every meal brings them closer to disaster.
Healthy Meals
Calm your stomach and remove the consequences of your questionable culinary decisions.
Defense Cards
Cancel an attack or send it straight back to the person who played it. Defenses can be played as reactions, even outside your turn, leading to ridiculous chains of retaliation.
Special Cards
Steal cards, empty someone’s hand, redistribute meals around the table, or completely change the course of the game.
SquishyPoo
The final fecal blow. Play it at the right moment to eliminate a vulnerable opponent—and try not to have it thrown back in your face.
Basic or Deluxe?
The Basic Edition contains the complete SquishyPoo experience for 2 to 4 players. It includes all five essential card types and everything needed for quick games with couples, friends, or families who are not afraid of questionable humour.
The Deluxe Edition expands the table to 2 to 8 players and introduces two additional card types, more Special Cards, more strategies, and significantly more chaos.
It also opens the doors to the Shitology cult.
Shitology Cards do not simply attack another player: they rewrite the rules while the game is being played. They can make everyone vulnerable, reduce the number of meals required to explode, force players to exchange their hands, or even summon the Shitology Guru for an alternative victory.
Once the cult appears, nobody is watching only their own plate anymore.
Why is SquishyPoo different?
You attack people, not a draw pile.
Every Crappy Meal is served to a specific person. The retaliation is personal, immediate, and usually deserved.
Defending yourself does not consume your turn.
Defense Cards can interrupt attacks and create chains of counters between several players without stopping the pace of the game.
Nobody stays eliminated for long.
A game lasts around fifteen minutes, and the next one can begin almost immediately. Revenge never has to wait very long.
Behind the joke, there is a real game.
The theme gets people laughing, but the choices, combinations, alliances, and betrayals are what make them ask for another round.
It started with a very stupid conversation
SquishyPoo began during a drive home from work.
We were talking about creating something of our own when one of us said:
- “We should make a universal board game.”
- “Fine, but what theme does everyone understand?”
Our highly scientific conclusion was that there were only two truly universal subjects: sex and poop.
We chose poop. It created fewer awkward conversations with our families and much funnier game mechanics.
Then came the idea that started everything:
- “What if players served rotten food to make their opponents sick?”
A few hours of brainstorming later, the first version of the game was born. Back then, it was called Chie Tout Mou.
We drew the first cards on pieces of paper, put them on a table, and played.
It was terrible.
Some games lasted forever. Others ended before anyone understood what had happened. Certain cards were funny but completely destroyed the balance. Every solution created another problem.
So we started again.
We rewrote cards, printed new prototypes, changed the rules, removed ideas we loved, brought some of them back, and played again. Then we repeated the process for hundreds of hours.
Little by little, the joke became an actual game.
As the project grew beyond its original French version, Chie Tout Mou became SquishyPoo: a name ready to ruin dinner parties around the world.
Tested beyond our own table
SquishyPoo has been played with friends, relatives, experienced players, complete beginners, and visitors at gaming events including the Festival International des Jeux in Cannes.
Watching people who did not know us understand the game, attack each other, argue over Defense Cards, and immediately ask for another round was the moment we knew the concept worked beyond our group of friends.
One visitor in Cannes told us:
“It’s probably the game I’ll remember most from the proto night. When does it come out?”
Now, we finally want to answer that question.
Two creators. One very bad idea.
We are Pierre and Raphaël, two friends from France who have built SquishyPoo together from the first paper prototype to the game it is today.
We shared every part of the process: designing cards, rewriting rules, running playtests, shaping the universe, preparing the production, and building this campaign.
Pierre naturally leans towards the creative side: the ideas, the humour, and the wonderfully disgusting world of SquishyPoo. Raphaël gravitates towards strategy, planning, and all the support work required to turn a ridiculous concept into a real product.
But there is no “Pierre part” and “Raphaël part” of SquishyPoo. Every important decision, every card we kept, and every card we flushed was ours.
This is our first Kickstarter campaign, but it is not the first version of the game. The core game is already developed, its rules and mechanics have been completed, and the experience has been extensively playtested.
Why Kickstarter?
We are not asking you to fund an idea that still needs to become a game. SquishyPoo already exists and is playable.
What we need now is to produce it at the right scale.
Printing a sufficiently large first production run will allow us to reduce the unit cost, maintain the quality we want, and make the game available at a reasonable price.
Kickstarter will also give SquishyPoo its first real community and demonstrate that the game has an audience before we approach traditional publishers and distributors.
However, producing and delivering the Kickstarter rewards does not depend on securing a future publishing or distribution agreement. Our backers come first.
Every pledged copy will be included in our production plan, and Kickstarter rewards will take priority over any future retail distribution.
Where will the funds go?
The money raised will principally finance:
The first large-scale production run
Packaging and production components
Pre-production samples and quality control
Freight and import costs to our fulfilment regions
Kickstarter and payment-processing fees
A contingency reserve for unexpected production costs
Delivery to each backer will be charged separately after the campaign through the Kickstarter Pledge Manager. Estimated shipping ranges will be communicated by destination before the campaign launches.
If the campaign exceeds its initial goal, the additional funds will be reinvested into improving the game and unlocking new content for the community.
Our production plan
The game design and playtesting phases are complete. The remaining work concerns physical production and delivery.
After the campaign
We will confirm the final quantities, collect language choices and delivery information, and validate the final production files.
Pre-production
A final pre-production copy will be checked for colours, cutting, packaging, card quality, and overall finish before mass production is approved.
Mass production
Once the sample is validated, the complete production run will be printed and inspected.
Freight and fulfilment
The games will be transported to the appropriate fulfilment regions before being sent individually to backers.
Our current working schedule allows approximately six to seven months between the end of the campaign and final delivery. The precise calendar will be updated once our manufacturing and fulfilment arrangements are fully confirmed.
Help us serve the worst dinner ever
SquishyPoo started as a stupid conversation between two friends in a car.
It survived bad prototypes, broken cards, endless rule changes, hundreds of hours of testing, and more jokes about bodily functions than any reasonable person should have to hear.
Now it is ready to leave our table.
By backing SquishyPoo, you are not only ordering a game. You are helping two independent creators produce its first real edition, build its first community, and prove that even the worst dinner imaginable can bring people together.
Choose your edition, gather your least trustworthy friends, and prepare your stomach.
Dinner is served.
