Steam Cities - Board Game

—description de l’éditeur

Features
Steam Cities features a modular, randomly assembled board that gives an almost infinite number of layouts, so you almost never play the same board twice.
The artwork on each tile makes it easy for players to see which type of terrain they’re moving into and what impact it will have on their city, while the symbols on the tiles show what resources you’ll receive.
The voting system increases interaction with other players, and the laws passed can affect everyone in the game or just one player in particular, but that can also be beneficial for them. Voting can be a double‑edged sword.
Steam Cities uses a unique card‑driven conflict‑resolution system, where there is no player elimination in battles. Players compare unit strength, including bonuses from allies, then reveal battle cards to determine the outcome. Steam Cities’ double‑bluffing mechanic lets you hide your strength and read your opponent’s hand, so careful card‑play —not raw power— decides the winner. Sometimes even “losing” a battle can still benefit your strategy in the long run.
The upgrade‑path system allows you to prepare your strategy and take decisions before committing to an action, improving long‑term planning and engine‑building.
