About the Creator

I'm Natalie Sloane, a writer of contemporary relationship-focused fiction exploring trust, communication, emotional tension, and power exchange between consenting adults. My previous works include By His Rules and The Devil You Know, stories centered on the complexity of relationships and the importance of mutual respect.

After years of writing stories that readers could imagine themselves experiencing, I wanted to create something people could actually play together. I wanted to build an experience that encourages communication, laughter, anticipation, and trust in a completely new way.

That idea became SubDom.

What is SubDom?

SubDom is a two-player tabletop board game designed for consenting adult couples. Players each choose one of two complementary roles and follow separate paths across an intertwined game board. Every space introduces a different challenge, decision, or card draw designed specifically for that player's role, creating a unique experience from beginning to end.

The game is designed around communication, consent, role-playing, and mutual participation. Every playthrough is different thanks to randomized cards, wildcards, skip tokens, and multiple possible paths through the game.

This isn't just another party game—it's an experience designed specifically for two people.

Consent & Safety

SubDom is intended only for adults aged 18 and older.

The game is built around consensual participation, open communication, and mutual respect. Players are encouraged to discuss personal boundaries before beginning play and may skip or modify any activity that doesn't feel comfortable. The included rules recommend establishing a safeword or agreed-upon stop signal before starting the game.

All artwork, characters, and models depicted in the finished product represent adults.

Current Development Status

The game's core design, gameplay mechanics, and component list have already been completed. The prototype has been developed, and funding from this campaign will allow us to complete manufacturing, finalize production assets, and begin fulfillment to backers.

Manufacturing & Fulfillment

We are currently obtaining quotes from experienced board game manufacturers specializing in premium printed tabletop products. Manufacturing will begin immediately after campaign funding and completion of final production files.

Products will be shipped through established fulfillment partners that specialize in tabletop games, allowing us to deliver rewards efficiently to domestic and international backers whenever possible.

Estimated initial production quantity will be based on campaign demand while ensuring sufficient inventory for replacements and damaged shipments.

From Prototype to Your Door

Our production plan follows these steps:

1. Finalize artwork and production files.
2. Complete rulebook editing and proofreading.
3. Approve manufacturer proofs.
4. Begin full manufacturing.
5. Perform quality control inspections.
6. Ship finished games to fulfillment centers.
7. Package and mail rewards to backers.
8. Continue providing campaign updates until every reward has been delivered.
