Shipping & Fulfillment Projections

We plan to fulfill Survivalist through regional partners to reduce delivery times, minimize customs issues, and provide a smoother overall experience for backers. We currently expect to ship to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, and New Zealand. At this time, we are not planning to ship to other regions.

Shipping will be charged after the campaign through the pledge manager once final quantities are known. This allows us to set accurate regional rates based on real fulfillment data and avoid overcharging during the campaign. We will share updated estimates throughout the campaign and confirm final costs before fulfillment begins.

Our current fulfillment plan is to ship bulk freight from the factory to regional hubs in Los Angeles (serving North America) and Sydney (serving Australia, New Zealand, and select international orders). From these hubs, games will be shipped directly to backers.

For the United Kingdom and European Union, fulfillment will depend on final backer distribution. If volume supports it, we may establish a regional fulfillment hub within the UK and/or EU to reduce customs friction and improve delivery times. Homestead Games reserves the right to modify its fulfillment strategy as circumstances require.

Where possible, we intend to use a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) model. Duties and VAT may be collected through the pledge manager in an effort to reduce the likelihood of additional charges upon delivery. However, customs authorities, carriers, tax agencies, and local regulations may impose fees, taxes, duties, or charges that are outside the control of Homestead Games. Backers remain responsible for any such charges where required by applicable law.

Our current target delivery date is March 2027. This estimate includes final development, manufacturing, freight, customs processing, and last-mile delivery. Delivery dates should be considered projections rather than guarantees, as timelines may be affected by factors beyond our control.

Tariffs, Duties, Freight & Global Conditions

The global logistics environment can change significantly between the end of a crowdfunding campaign and final fulfillment. Manufacturing, freight, customs, and delivery costs are influenced by factors beyond the control of Homestead Games, including but not limited to tariffs, import duties, VAT and sales tax regulations, fuel prices, shipping lane disruptions, labor shortages, currency fluctuations, trade disputes, sanctions, customs policy changes, and other governmental or geopolitical events.

Recent years have demonstrated how quickly international shipping conditions can change. Events affecting major trade routes, ports, fuel supplies, or global transportation networks can substantially increase the cost of moving goods around the world.

All shipping estimates presented during this campaign are based on information available at the time they are provided. However, actual fulfillment costs may differ by the time production is complete and freight is booked.

Homestead Games will make every reasonable effort to absorb normal fluctuations in costs and secure the most efficient fulfillment solutions available. However, if significant increases occur that materially impact manufacturing, freight, customs, duties, taxes, or final-mile delivery costs, additional charges may be required in order to complete fulfillment.

Should such circumstances arise, we commit to communicating openly with backers, providing clear explanations for any adjustments, and limiting any additional charges to actual fulfillment-related costs wherever reasonably possible.

By backing this project, you acknowledge that crowdfunding projects involve long production timelines and that future economic, regulatory, and logistical conditions cannot be guaranteed or fully predicted at the time of the campaign.

Pledge Manager & Order Confirmation

After the campaign ends, all eligible backers will receive access to our pledge manager platform. This is where you will confirm your reward selection, provide your shipping information, purchase optional add-ons, and pay any applicable shipping, taxes, duties, or VAT.

To receive your rewards, you must complete the pledge manager process before the stated deadline. Opening and closing dates will be communicated through Kickstarter updates and email.

Backers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information, completing all required pledge manager steps, and paying any applicable shipping, taxes, duties, VAT, or other fulfillment-related charges.

Failure to complete the pledge manager, provide required information, or pay applicable fulfillment charges may result in delayed fulfillment, forfeiture of fulfillment eligibility, or cancellation of the associated reward. Homestead Games shall have no obligation to fulfill incomplete orders after production quantities have been finalized or fulfillment operations have commenced.

Product Content & Component Changes

All artwork, graphic design, photography, renders, gameplay examples, production samples, component specifications, and marketing materials shown during this campaign represent our current vision for the final product.

As development continues, certain aspects of the game may change in order to improve gameplay, usability, durability, manufacturability, safety, cost efficiency, logistics, regulatory compliance, or overall production quality.

Final artwork, component quantities, materials, dimensions, packaging configurations, manufacturing methods, colors, finishes, tokens, components, and other production specifications may differ from those shown during the campaign. Any such changes will be made in good faith with the goal of delivering the best possible version of Survivalist.

Production & Fulfillment Risks

Crowdfunding projects involve inherent risks and uncertainties. Manufacturing delays, freight disruptions, customs inspections, labor shortages, material shortages, regulatory changes, natural disasters, political events, and other unforeseen circumstances may impact our production and fulfillment schedule.

While we have built our timelines using the best information available at the time of launch, delivery estimates should not be interpreted as guarantees.

If significant delays occur, we commit to providing transparent communication and regular updates regarding project status and revised timelines.

Force Majeure & Events Beyond Our Control

Homestead Games shall not be responsible for delays, increased costs, changes to fulfillment plans, or inability to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Such events may include, without limitation, natural disasters, severe weather, earthquakes, floods, fires, epidemics, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, sanctions, trade restrictions, government actions, customs delays, transportation disruptions, fuel shortages, port congestion, factory closures, material shortages, utility failures, cyber incidents, or other unforeseen events affecting manufacturing, freight, fulfillment, or delivery.

In such circumstances, Homestead Games reserves the right to modify production schedules, fulfillment plans, shipping methods, product specifications, timelines, or other project details as reasonably necessary.

Shipping Damage & Cosmetic Wear

We work hard to ensure that games arrive in excellent condition. However, minor cosmetic wear can occasionally occur during international shipping and fulfillment.

If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and include photographs of the packaging and affected components.

We will review all damage claims individually and determine an appropriate resolution based on the severity of the issue. Remedies may include replacement components, replacement products, partial compensation, or other appropriate solutions.

Damage claims should be submitted within 14 days of delivery. Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for replacement, compensation, or other remedies.

Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect gameplay may not qualify for replacement. Our goal is always to treat backers fairly while balancing the environmental and financial costs associated with replacement shipments.

Missing Components & Replacement Parts

If your copy of Survivalist arrives with missing, defective, or damaged gameplay components, please contact us and we will work to provide replacement parts where appropriate.

Replacement requests may require photographs or additional information to help us identify the issue and determine the most appropriate resolution.

Requests should be submitted within a reasonable period following delivery. Homestead Games reserves the right to determine eligibility for replacement parts and may require supporting documentation before issuing replacements.

Our goal is to ensure every backer receives a complete and playable copy of the game.

Refunds & Cancellations

Crowdfunding is fundamentally different from traditional retail. By backing Survivalist, you are helping fund the development, manufacturing, and fulfillment of the project. Funds collected during the campaign are committed toward bringing the project to life and are used to secure artwork, development, manufacturing capacity, freight arrangements, fulfillment services, and other project-related expenses.

For this reason, cancellations and refunds are generally not available after the Kickstarter campaign has concluded. Backers are responsible for reviewing all campaign information before choosing to pledge.

Shipping, taxes, VAT, duties, and other fulfillment-related charges will be collected through the pledge manager after the campaign. By backing this project, you acknowledge that these costs are separate from your Kickstarter pledge and may change prior to fulfillment due to factors outside the control of Homestead Games, including freight costs, fuel prices, tariffs, customs policies, currency fluctuations, and other global economic conditions.

If a backer chooses not to complete the pledge manager, declines to pay applicable shipping or fulfillment charges, fails to provide required information, or otherwise abandons their pledge, Homestead Games shall have no obligation to provide a refund.

In exceptional circumstances, Homestead Games may, at its sole discretion, approve a cancellation or partial refund request. Any approved refund may be reduced by payment processing fees, platform fees, administrative costs, or other non-recoverable expenses already incurred.

Once manufacturing quantities have been finalized, manufacturing has commenced, freight has been booked, or fulfillment preparations have begun, all pledges shall be considered final and non-refundable.

Homestead Games reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution for any cancellation, abandonment, or refund request on a case-by-case basis.

Homestead Games reserves the right to cancel and refund any order at its discretion. In such cases, any refund issued may reflect amounts actually received by Homestead Games after third-party platform fees, payment processing fees, administrative costs, and other non-recoverable expenses have been deducted, unless otherwise required by law.

If Homestead Games is unable to fulfill a reward, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate remedy, alternative solution, or refund for any unfulfilled portion of the pledge, as determined by Homestead Games in its sole discretion.

A pledge represents a commitment to support and receive the selected reward and is not a reservation, layaway arrangement, deposit, or option contract. By backing this project, you acknowledge that crowdfunding involves uncertainty and that fulfillment costs, timelines, and project details may change after the campaign concludes.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of Homestead Games arising out of or relating to this project, any reward, fulfillment, shipment, delay, replacement, cancellation, or other aspect of the campaign shall not exceed the amount actually paid to Homestead Games for the affected pledge.

Homestead Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost business opportunities, loss of use, loss of goodwill, missed gifting opportunities, travel expenses, or other economic losses arising from or related to the project, regardless of the legal theory asserted.

Nothing in these terms shall limit any rights that cannot be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

Privacy & Data Handling

To fulfill your pledge, we may share limited personal information with trusted service providers involved in pledge management, manufacturing, freight forwarding, fulfillment, customer support, and delivery.

This information may include your name, shipping address, email address, and phone number where required for delivery.

We will only share information necessary to fulfill your pledge and provide customer support. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

By backing this project, you consent to the use of your information for pledge management, customer support, fulfillment, and delivery purposes.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Please note that deleting required fulfillment information before your reward has shipped may prevent us from delivering your pledge.

We may retain fulfillment records for a reasonable period after delivery in order to investigate shipping issues, replacement requests, warranty claims, and customer support inquiries.

Project Entity

This project is offered and fulfilled by Homestead Games New Zealand Limited. All rewards, obligations, communications, customer support, fulfillment activities, and project-related responsibilities are provided solely by Homestead Games New Zealand Limited.

No other affiliated companies, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, partners, or related entities shall be deemed responsible for the obligations of this project solely by virtue of their affiliation with Homestead Games New Zealand Limited.
