The Axis Saga is an original dark fantasy TTRPG campaign setting and guidebook by Wyldwolf Games that features canon shaped by years of real campaigns with real players. Set in a grim world inspired by the aesthetics of the 16th century, the Axis Saga focuses on morally complex stories, high-stakes conflicts, and a unique take on vampyrism through The Gift. 

The War of Silence

Reality itself is beginning to fracture across the world. Portals tear open as the realms collapse on themselves and the Pattern that binds the universe together begins to fray. A fledgling Empire maintains a strenuous hold over the continent of Axis as a creeping curse spreads like disease and the Demon Kryphos rises once more. His followers are consumed by despair, and together they seek to bring about The Great Silence: an end to all life through oblivion, final and enduring.

As the Cult of Silence spreads, hope withers and praise falls flat. The Silence hollows out the hearts of the great and small alike, making them forget that which they once loved. Axis now rests in the hands of those brave enough to stand against the darkness.

New Game Master Mechanics

Inside the Axis Saga, you'll find several new mechanics to enhance your tabletop game experience. 

Resonance 

Powerful events can cause a shift in the Pattern, the underlying structure that binds reality together and serves as the source of power for all magic. When emotions, magic, violence, or collective will reaches a critical point, the Pattern reacts, leaving behind measurable Resonance. 

Resonance is not determined by morality. Instead, it directly reflects the Pattern's reaction in real time.

Raids

Raids challenge you and your party to embrace thematic mechanics that don't just test your character sheet, but each player at the table. Success is not earned through damage alone. It requires awareness, coordination, and the willingness to learn how the encounter works. Not all problems can be solved with steel alone. Some foes demand cunning, restraint, and mastery.

Inside a Raid you will encounter threats, antagonists, allies, and forces beyond your control. How you interact with each will determine your level of success. You are engaging with a system built around story, pressure, and consequence.

Shipping

Kickstarter will not charge shipping at the time of campaign end. To make sure you have the most accurate shipping price possible, you will pay for shipping and handling at the time of fulfillment. The prices listed are rough estimates, but are subject to change. Some add-ons may have additional shipping costs due to weight and fragility.
