The Gilded Shadows Tarot

For as long as I can remember, I have lived with a sense that there is more to the world than what sits on the surface.
It started when I was young, about 13 or 14 years old. A quiet inner knowing, a gut feeling that never quite led me wrong, a thread of intuition I learned to follow even when I couldn't explain it. Over time those feelings deepened into something harder to articulate. Visions, occasionally. Moments where something would rise up clearly in my mind before it had happened in the world.
One of the first times it happened with any real clarity, I was 16 years old and did what came naturally to me as an artist. I drew it. A specific image pulled from somewhere I couldn't name, committed to paper and then forgotten the way you forget things that don't yet have context. I tucked it away and moved on.
Five years later, what I had drawn came true.
I didn't know that immediately. It was a week after the event, digging through old boxes in my parents' closet, that I found the drawing. I stood there holding a piece of paper that had no business existing and felt something shift. That moment didn't frighten me. It clarified something I had quietly suspected for years. That intuition, vision, and the unseen world are not superstition or coincidence. They are a language, and some of us are simply wired to hear it.
Tarot felt like finding a grammar for that language. A system built by people who understood that the inner world is as real and navigable as the outer one, and who spent centuries encoding that understanding into image and symbol with extraordinary care.
The problem was I could never find a deck that felt like mine.
As an artist I am particular about aesthetics. I couldn't separate how something looked from how it felt to use, and deck after deck fell short in one direction or another. Too whimsical, too cold, too decorative without depth, too polished without soul. I wanted something with drama and gravitas. Emotional weight and presence. Images that felt like they carried genuine consequence rather than just surface beauty. Cards you could sit with and actually feel something.
So I decided to create that deck myself.
What began as a personal quest became one of the most satisfying creative adventures of my life. A deep immersion into the symbolism, history, and layered meaning of each card, translated through my own artistic vision into something I genuinely believe the tarot community has been waiting for.
This is that deck. And I would love to bring it into the world with you.
