Statut actuel
The God of the Sun and Moon is an adventure for Shadowdark and other old school games. This is truly old school is available in print only. In addition, because it is being print on a Risograph printer, there are only 250 copies available.
The God of the Sun and Moon
A three-hour countdown. A temple full of zealots. One legendary blade.
For a thousand years, the Chaos Invaders slept. Now they're back, and the only weapon that ever stopped them, the blade Doom, lies buried with the hero who wielded it, inside a temple no one has entered in four hundred years.
Your players will have to cross the merciless Alamaic Desert, talk (or fight, or bluff) their way past a cult of sun- and moon-worshippers who've made the temple their home, and claim the sword before the Sisters who guard it seal the tomb again — all in a strict three real-hour countdown built for table tension.
The God of the Sun and Moon is a built around social maneuvering. Every chamber of Enkamesh Temple is alive with devotees who might convert you, feed you, give you chores, or throw you out. The Who's in the Room? system means no two tables will run it the same way.
Inside you'll find:
- A fully mapped temple with 20+ distinct locations
- Original creatures: the skittering Gaboon, the scathing Jathrax, and the baleful Eclipse Elemental
- Cursed and blessed relics: sun masks, moon masks, a blade that grows hungrier with every kill
- Beautiful, bespoke art from Daniel Harila Carlsen
- A new Devotee character class, complete with conversion mechanics, forbidden names, and a path from Moon Disciple to True Believer
- Full GM guidance for running it as a one-shot, a con game, or a slower campaign arc
This adventure is inspired by the history and folklore of the pre-Axumite Kingdom of Da'amat in Ethiopia, by a real temple that is one of the oldest buildings still standing in the world.
