Give Better Treasure
Each of the nearly 1,000 magic items in these books is fully illustrated and comes with flavorful mechanics and descriptions that are designed to appeal to a wide range of character archetypes and personalities. Plus, every item is categorized neatly into treasure tables to make things easy to search for and use on the fly.
Further, each item has been carefully written and balanced using established precedents—regardless of what version of 5th edition you're playing—that ensure they're both easy to understand and won't disrupt the balance of your campaign. Make your treasure more rewarding!
Items are compatible with both Heliana's and KibblesTasty crafting rules. These will be available in free online spreadsheets alongside each books' release.
More Diverse Characters
Expand your creative options when imagining characters with one of three new races / species: the frog-like Ruun, verdant half-dryad, or psionic Neurophaged (books 3, 3, and 4, respectively).
Or, change up your gameplay with a huge array of 48 exciting and diverse subclasses. These have been carefully playtested for fun, creativity, and, of course, balance.
- Cast elemental magic as a rage-fueled Path of the Iramancer barbarian
- Use a deck of cards to play the College of Four Suits bard
- Buy power from an ever-present magical shop as the Wealth Domain cleric
- Transform into bolts of lightning as the Circle of the Storm druid.
The list goes on, but rest assured that some of the Saddlebag's personal favorite character options are found in these books. If you liked Books One and Two, Books Three and Four are going to blow you away.
Discover All-New Realms
Each book has fourteen campaign-agnostic settings, for a total of 28 location options, and are purposefully designed to be easily integrated into whatever campaign or world you're already playing in.
These settings include cities, cultures, minigames, and a wide variety of landscapes and story-telling hooks. Every setting has its own appendix of unique monster stat blocks, totaling over a hundred new monsters for you to encounter on your adventures.
Hold Magic in your Hands with Item Cards
Magic item cards are a fan-favorite for their ease of use for both GMs and their players. Spend more time playing and less time flipping through books when seeing what your magical items do! Physically hand your players the treasure they find!
Now, item cards come in all-in-one containers that feature an index on the lid and an array of exciting and delightful accessories: an enameled pin, sticker, iron-on patch, and set of four postcards of places found in that book!
Item cards from Books One and Two are also reprinted with these revised boxes!

Bonuses for Skellies Backers: October 1st
Skellies is the Saddlebag's premier no-stakes undead RPG where you play as skeletons.
Think OSR but you really want your lich to like you, and Benny Hill is always playing.
This d6 tabletop RPG has been designed to have the most fun possible when someone calls out of game night at the last minute. The rules fit inside the cover of this 75+ page book and provide enough structure to start playing in minutes.
It's really good, and really free at playskellies.com.
When you back both this and the Skellies campaign with physical rewards, you'll also receive these exclusive, bonus stickers with your Skellies order.
Shipping Costs and Expected Timelines
Shipping is charged after the campaign through the pledge manager, closer to fulfillment, and depends on where you live. Estimated shipping costs can be found below by pledge tier. Adding more physical rewards to your pledge will likely increase the cost of shipping accordingly.
Packages to the UK, EU, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand will ship from warehouses within those regions, meaning you don't need to worry about import taxes. Other costs, like sales tax or VAT, are charged separately.
* Non-continental prices may be higher for some packages.
** EU shipping prices can very a lot, especially for island nations and remote locations. The prices shown are a typical average.
*** South America: estimated shipping does not include import taxes or customs duties. These may be charged upon delivery and must be paid separately by the backer.
Expected Timelines
Thankfully, the rewards available in this Kickstarter are in great shape going into it. The final books need to be polished but are in good standing. Designs for the accessories are finished and pose little to no concern for production.
All this is to say: things are under control.
The following dates are estimates. I do not expect complexity, and, in general, they assume things take a little longer.
- Production should begin no later than May 2027 (takes 2-3 months to finish). Digital rewards are distributed at this time.
- Freight would begin by August 2027 (takes 2-3 months to arrive).
- Fulfillment would begin by November 2027 (takes 1-2 months to complete).
My personal goal is to have production begin by March, which would put all these dates 2 months earlier. I believe it's achievable, but I also know that things can get in the way beyond my control: thank you for your patience, whatever happens. The sooner these are in your hands, the happier both you and I are!
