The Haunted Mansion Trilogy: D&D Inspired RPGs for Kids 7-12
Par Cavalier 3d Miniatures
Statut actuel
Something's moved into the old mansion at the edge of town. It's not asking permission to stay.
Welcome back, Cavaliers. If you backed The Enchanted Forest, The Golden Oasis, or Sky Pirates and the Dragon's Egg, you already know what we do: printable, parent-and-teacher-friendly tabletop adventures that get kids rolling dice, solving problems, and telling stories together — no experience required, no reading skills required, no "learning D&D" required.
This time, we're going bigger. The Haunted Mansion Trilogy is three connected one-shot adventures — a haunted mansion, a graveyard of restless names, and an overgrown garden that isn't as abandoned as it looks — built to be run back-to-back-to-back, or completely on their own.
One d20. Three simple outcomes. No math homework disguised as a game.
.
🧩 MORE THAN JUST COMBAT
Each adventure includes a mixture of:
- Combat
- Puzzles
- Roleplaying
- Exploration
- Teamwork
- Creative problem solving
- Dice rolls
- Silly encounters
The goal isn't simply to defeat every creature they meet.
Sometimes the players need to work out what is actually happening first.
A ghost might need help.
A monster might be scared.
A locked door might need an apology instead of a key.
A zombie might simply need someone to put its head back on.
And sometimes...
The best solution is something completely ridiculous that the players thought of themselves.
Why this one's different
Every Cavalier adventure follows the same locked promise: one roll, three outcomes (1–9 a slip-up, 10–14 a partial win, 15+ full success), no losing endings, and a kid-safe knockout system so nobody's ever "out" of the story. What's new in the Haunted Trilogy:
Three full adventures, one connected story — run them in a weekend, across a school term, or as standalone one-shots
Built-in DM Tips, Neurodiverse Tips, and "If They Ask" boxes on every spread, so a first-time parent-DM never gets caught out
Every puzzle has three solutions. Every boss has a non-combat, kind-win resolution. Nobody loses this game — they just find a different way through it
Designed with input from a working educator to keep pacing, chaos, and session length realistic for the age group
What's inside
Book 1: Secrets of Whitlock Manor— arrive, explore, and meet the mansion's (very confused) resident ghost
Book 2: The Graveyard of Restless Names — the dead have a problem, and it isn't the heroes
Book 3: The Overgrown Garden — something's been growing in the mansion's garden for a very long time
Full merchant NPCs, priced shops, and payoff items in every book (because a good shop scene is half the fun)
Pre-generated hero character sheets — pick one and start playing in five minutes
8×11 grid maps, DM quick-reference sheets, and printable player handouts
We build these for the kid who gets overwhelmed by a 300-page rulebook just as much as the kid who wants to charge in swinging. If you're a parent who's never run a game before, a teacher building a rainy-day activity, a homeschool family, or an occupational therapist looking for structured, low-stakes social play — this is built for your table, not around it.
We funded The Enchanted Forest in 34 minutes with over 400 backers who took a chance on a small Australian publisher. Every book since has been built with that same audience in mind — including the ones telling us their neurodiverse kid finally wanted to play a game with the family.
Let's fill the mansion.
