The Ice Cream Tarot began with a simple question:

Why isn’t there an ice cream tarot deck?

In 2022, I picked up the Stranger Things tarot deck and noticed one of the suits was Scoops. My immediate thought was:

“Is there an ice cream tarot?” There will be

Because that would be cool.

Pun totally intended

What started as a playful idea quietly stayed with me for over a year before I finally began building it seriously.

And somewhere along the way, the question stopped being:

“Wouldn’t this be fun?”

and became:

“What if this could actually work?”

Not Just Pretty Pulls

This isn’t a novelty deck.

Beneath the ice cream theme is a fully structured tarot framework designed for real readings and daily use.

The Ice Cream Tarot draws inspiration from both Rider-Waite Smith and Thoth traditions, carefully mapped into a system designed to feel intuitive, symbolic, and meaningful in practice.

Dessert, but make it divination.

Pretty enough to pull you in. Structured enough to call you out.

What Makes This Deck Different?

This deck includes 82 cards.

Alongside the traditional 78 tarot cards are 4 additional Major Arcana cards called the Secret Menu.

These cards were created intentionally to reflect modern life experiences that traditional archetypes don’t always name clearly.

They are not gimmicks.

They are woven into the structure of the deck itself to deepen readings and expand interpretation.

Because life has changed.

Tarot evolves too.

Hi, I’m Kim.

I’m a tarot reader, creator, stroke survivor, mom, grandma, wife, and human living in the Yukon with my husband, one deeply opinionated Yorkie, and a household that tends toward creative chaos.

The Ice Cream Tarot grew from late-night ideas, real readings, and the belief that magic and joy can exist in the same space.

How Funding Will Be Used

Funds raised through this campaign will be used to manufacture The Ice Cream Tarot, including the deck, guidebook, and magnetic box. Funding will also cover packaging materials, fulfillment supplies, Kickstarter and payment processing fees, and project contingencies.

The creative work for this project is already complete. Funding is being used primarily for production and fulfillment.
