The Imperium

This is my first official project I'm putting out there with more to follow I've had a passion for games and ideas for 15 years and drafted, wrote, even printed my own games and played with family.
This game I've had built for years and it has been fun to play with family and friends.

The Imperium started out as just a thought then i wrote down when it popped into my head while on a road trip.
I made some rules and thought it'd make a good game then bam i created the concept rules and cards.
The cards were written out first on card paper cutouts.... then the second set had pictures and adjustments to the mechanics.... then now I'm onto version 3 where i am now making into a full fledge game. 
I'm excited for my first project of one my passions that is gaming to be made into reality.

The Imperium
 Build your Family. Control the Senate. Command the Legions. Become Caesar. Or will you let Rome fall and descend into chaos. 
Work with or against each other just know that Rome falls if you don't.

With a customizable game length and difficulty can show your resolve.
With combined honors you can become the True Caesar.

The Artwork
Several runs at making the backs to the cards I originally found an image online and played with it till I made this backing. I love the ancient marble look to it. There will be more updates as I finish and complete the artwork.
I did want to add history to the game so I am working on historical references for some cool historical facts to add impact and feel to the game.

The Gameplay
The game is played over several rounds dependent on your choice for duration, during the beginning of those rounds you will draw events cards to the difficulty of game you have chosen.
During the Event phase players use their Political and/or Military power to control outcomes of the future of Rome. After these events conclude we move to player turns.
Players take turns each player plays actions or abilities to control/influence the state of Rome and the other Families.
Note: I will say it was many times when I played we would all watch a player have so much power that everyone gangs up on them just to see the weakest down and out player come back and win from all the chaos. I have yet to see or claim True Caesar from the medium to long and normal to hard campaign.

Every Game is different from how events effect the gameplay to how players react to circumstances. It is truly an intriguing game with thrill, excitement and easy to pick up for most ages. 8+
Note: My family and kids have played and enjoy it repeatedly.
