The Man Who Died Tomorrow is a one-shot adventure for 6th-level characters, compatible with D&D 5e. A mysterious traveler arrives from the future to prevent a ritual that will freeze an entire city in time, but before he can stop it, he is murdered by his younger self and found dead inside a room, with a door that had never opened. As strange disturbances in time are reported throughout the city, the adventurers are drawn into the mystery of who the victim was, how he was killed, and what his purpose was.

In Sevrane, a river city known for its bells and clocks, the party is brought into a murder investigation of a mysterious traveler after Orsolya Renn, the magistrate responsible for the river quarter, discovers that her watch captain is concealing what happened to him. They are among the few independent witnesses who saw him arrive before the watch took him away. Their search centers on the Hollow Bell, the old inn where the event took place, gradually revealing a connection between the traveler and Emeric Sault, a clockwright and the leader of the Cult of the Final Hour, a group whose members believe they can return to the moments they most wish to change. For years, Emeric, who has been searching for a way to undo the death of his younger sister, has gathered ordinary citizens and members of the city watch around this belief and prepared them for a ritual.

The investigation leads the adventurers beneath the Cathedral of Saint Anselm, a ruined cathedral whose hidden depths contain the Unstruck, an enormous bell created to imprison the Unstruck Hour, a single moment capable of trapping an entire place in stopped time. In three nights, during the feast of Saint Anselm, the cult intends to ring the bell thirteen consecutive times and release it. However, Emeric has misunderstood some ancient texts that led him to the Unstruck, believing the ritual will return each person to the moment they most wish to change, when in truth the Unstruck chooses the moment and freezes everything within it. Having witnessed the true consequences of the ritual, the traveler is revealed to be Emeric twenty years older, returned from the future to prevent his younger self from ringing the bell.

The party must stop the ritual before the final toll, with multiple possible endings as they seek to defeat the cult and determine Sevrane's fate.

About Us

We are Marouso and Alexis, two tabletop creators brought together by a shared love of D&D and years of experience running games for multiple groups. Marouso handles the writing, crafting the stories, encounters, and characters that shape each one-shot. Alexis takes those adventures to the table, reviewing every detail and playtesting each scenario to ensure it runs smoothly, feels balanced, and delivers a great experience.

Under the banner of Hidden Hoard, our focus is simple: create adventures that are clear to run, rich in atmosphere, and built to respect a GM's time. Every project goes through a full cycle of writing, review, and real playtesting before it reaches you. This collaborative process lets us refine pacing, challenge, and narrative flow so each adventure feels cohesive from the opening hook to the final encounter.

We design with GMs in mind. That means practical layouts, purposeful encounters, memorable NPCs, and content that supports your storytelling instead of getting in the way. Each one-shot is built to drop easily into an existing campaign or stand strong on its own, giving you tools you can use immediately and adapt freely.

We build the adventures. We test them in real games. Now they’re ready for your table. Gather your players, open your books, and let the story unfold.
