Le tag « Jeu de plateau » est trop générique : il sera retiré. Jusqu'à 3 tags du site. Le tag STL retire la fiche du catalogue (fichier 3D, pas un jeu). Ensuite plus de modification ici : un mauvais tag se signale.

The Market District has a reputation...  you can find anything here, at a price.

The buildings and food shacks are perfect for adding flavour to any tabletop.

From the seedier end selling reconditioned droid parts to the more upmarket Explorers' Emporium, the place is lit and bustling at all times of day or night.

Whether you want buildings to populate your tabletop or love the modularity of GridForge, the Market District is somewhere your players will want to return to session after session.

The Buildings mix well with larger GridForge structures

What Will You Get?

  • Full Buildings or Modular GridForge: A versatile set of models to suit many different games and play styles.
  • Easy to Print: With optimised support-free STL files for FDM, you won’t waste time. Just slice and print!
  • Customisable: Any building interior can fit in any building with a huge variety of options and signs for each.
  • Highly Detailed Models: Equipment, walls, floors and scatter included.
  • 28mm and 35mm options available: Detail parts come in small and tall plus the GridForge walls can be extended so your larger minis don't hit their heads.
  • Multicolour by Design/Split for Easy Painting: Make your life easier by skipping the painting process or simplifying it so the terrain ends up on your tabletop more quickly.
  • Lighting and Movement: Wiring access and light fixtures modelled in as well as moveable doors, canopies and shutters.
  • Expandable: Fits with the existing Outbound Station sets and future Kickstarters plus other creators using GridForge, such as 2nd Dynasty.
  • Hand Sculpted: No AI is used anywhere in the modelling process.
Ordo's Armoury and the Bounty Hunters' Guild side by side with Gregor's Gym.  These are GridForge walls and interiors.

This is a fully modular, 3D-printable sci-fi Market themed Buildings and GridForge terrain set for support-free FDM 3D printing, designed for 28mm to 40mm tabletop wargames, skirmishes, role-playing games and cinematic dioramas.

The Leaping Frog and Febrezi's Fabrics are available as separate buildings or on GridForge tiles.

Models

The core set features 6 key stores available as either a complete building with optional playable GridForge interior or as solely GridForge for a more modular play style.  I mix and match both.  Rounding out the district are 3 market stalls, 2 food shacks and a number of vending machines as well as advertising hoardings and signs.

GridForge

The Market District uses the same GridForge system as many of my previous Kickstarters.  The base grid comes in 7 tolerances to fit your printer.  It is worth test printing a few 1" by 1" bases and tops to check which suits your printer best.  I have Bambu P1Ss and print the #3 bases - the top tiles are easy to get in, can be turned upside down if they are not too heavy but will often come out if you knock a wall.  You can go tighter or looser as you wish.

The tiles are all on a 1" grid system and the sizes are listed in the STL description.  Any clipping between base grids or top pieces uses supporty clips.

GridForge is OPENLock Compatible.  There are conversion clips included to join a GridForge grid to OPENLock tiles.  The wall and base sizes are also consistent with OPENLock standards and with the 2nd Dynasty and other creators' GridForge designs.

Explorers' Emporium and X Marks the Spot bar GridForge options are modular so you can make them any size and configuration you want.

Pledges

If you are new to our work then the Collectors' Pledge allows you to get ALL of our previous Kickstarters at a bargain price and also includes all the models and unlocked stretch goals from this Kickstarter.

You can get a lifetime commercial license on ALL models including unlocked stretch goals (NOT add ons) included in this campaign with the Merchant pledge.  This allows you to print and sell physical models but not the digital files.

Free Gift

Test out the Kickstarter by printing a CafCaf Vending Machine.  It comes either as standalone or on a 1"x1" GridForge base.

A 3MF is included if you want to try multicolour printing.

To get hold of your models, just sign up to my email newsletter - we won't send you loads of emails - I promise!

Stretch Goals

Once the campaign hits the funding goals listed below, more models will be released.  Make sure you support early to add even more models!

I will add even more stretch goals as the campaign needs it and I have no shortage of ideas!

PLEASE NOTE:  The first stretch goals are already finished but if the campaign does well and more levels are unlocked, these later models will need to be worked on and may deliver later than the core models to ensure they are well tested for you.

Add Ons

Sets that will fit well with The Market District

Originally from The MedWing, these Medical Buildings could add a much needed clinic or cybernetics den to your Market District.

The MedWing Sofas could add a touch of comfort to your shops and bars...

Talking of bars, a much larger centre bar set up is included in this Outbound Station set.

Or use these gaming tables and sofas from Outbound Station in your seating areas.

The Outbound Station Mess Hall tables from this set would work well in the outside seating area with their picnic bench design.

If you like more than one of these then consider picking up the whole Kickstarter below.

Previous Kickstarters

I have included some of the previous Kickstarters that are relevant but you can still get all of my previous Kickstarters on my MyMiniFactory Store.

Outbound Station - The Habitation Ring

Create everything from claustrophobic corridors to echoing empty mess halls, bustling kitchens to cramped bunk rooms.  The Habitation Ring features crew quarters, kitchens, a mess hall, hydroponics plus modular walls and floors using the innovative new GridForge system.  Easy to swap around and reconfigure for each adventure; the options are infinite.

The MedWing

Perched at the edge of known space, the MedWing is a modular deep-space station built for emergencies no one else can treat.  Fully automated and eerily empty, rows of beds, automated surgery theatres, research labs and quarantine facilities lie waiting...

If you want more than one previous campaign then it may be worth checking out the Collectors' Edition Pledge.

Moveable roller shutters add realism to the buildings plus the window shutters are easy to remove for alternative entry points.

Lore

Set on level 2560 of Skutt City, the Market Level is a hub that everyone passes through, whether it is picking up a cup of CafCaf, a quick snack at the Leaping Frog or something to take home for supper from Gil's Groceries or Zabrak Meats.  For the truly rushed, the vending machines are a quick option.

It's a popular stop for bounty hunters checking out their dream armaments at Ordo's Armoury and hanging out at the Guild headquarters above his shop as well as explorers stocking up at the Explorers' Emporium and popping into X Marks the Spot bar next door to catch up on gossip on the latest amazing finds.  Those that choose to linger can sit by the many food stalls or even workout at Gregor's Gym.

The Market District started out as a place for my RPG players to buy supplies so it may look like an eclectic mix but I modelled their favourite shops and haunts.  The obligate carnivores love stopping by the Zabrak Meat store and they pick up handy tips (XP) training with Ordo.  If they need an item, either Ordo or the Explorers' Emporium will have it plus there are convenient places nearby to stop for a drink, listen to the gossip and maybe find a new job.  We even had a whole story line started off with exploding frogs from The Leaping Frog (not their fault and perfectly safe to eat - I promise!).

Printing

The models have been designed for support-free FDM printing in PLA.  They all fit within a small FDM printer bed (180mm x 180mm) and are orientated for the best printability.  Models have been test printed on a range of FDM printers from Prusa (MK4S MMU3, Core One), Creality, (K2 Plus), Elegoo (Neptune 4) and Bambu (P1S).

I do recommend 0.16mm layer height and matte filament if you do not want to paint and want to minimise layer lines.

GridForge bases are designed for 0.2mm but I have successfully printed at 0.16mm.

I use variable height in the slicer to print some detailed top layers at 0.08mm, for example items with curved tops.

I also recommend using an adhesive such as 3DLac and/or a rim for tall vertical pieces.

Delivery

The digital rewards (STL and PDF files) from this campaign will be delivered via the MyMiniFactory Pledge Manager.  The core files will be available upon funds clearing from Kickstarter (typically 2-3 weeks after the campaign ends).

Any later stretch goals may take a little longer to ensure adequate time for any alterations and test printing.

Licensing

We release our products under the CC-BY-NC license, which means you can modify, use and display these models for personal use.  You cannot sell digital and/or printed copies or earn money with them.

You can get a lifetime commercial license on ALL core models (NOT add ons) included in this campaign with the Merchant pledge.  This waives the "Non-Commercial" stipulation attached to our designs, though we would still like credit in any item descriptions you will use to sell the prints.  The items you will sell must be finished, 3D-printed products (re-sales of files themselves are prohibited).

If you now have or want multiple merchants' licenses from us - contact us about a lifetime license instead.

The GridForge bases are released by 2nd Dynasty under CC BY-SA 4.0.  You can find the original release here although I have included all relevant files in the Kickstarter:
