The Tale Of Crow Hill End | Hand-illustrated Playing Cards

Introduction

Welcome to the latest campaign from A. Haines Playing Cards: The Tale Of Crow Hill End

Diving back into British folklore as we did with our last outing, Cryptids Playing Cards: Black Shuck & Mothman, The Tale Of Crow Hill End tells the story of an old crumbling farmhouse in the North of England, where a crow with a dark secret frequents the surrounding land...

Campaign Items

Fully hand-illustrated playing cards printed on premium stocks and finishes. Bundles of various quantities available at special prices for backers. Photos to follow.

Pledging is easy! Simply select your reward tier and any add-ons from the options below:

Printing/Fulfilment

*USA backers - all customs and handling fees are included in your up-front shipping cost when pledging - your parcel will move straight through customs to your address

This project will be expertly manufactured by the team at Legends Playing Cards, using their best quality paper stock and finish for superb fans, cuts, shuffles and glide -  these cards will be printed on pre-crushed stock with Classic Finish, and feature a soft matte tuckbox and beautifully foiled edges on the gilded variants.

All rewards will be fulfilled by us from our base in the UK. All prices are the lowest we could possibly manage based on current shipping and packaging costs, and we believe represent great value. We have several years of experience fulfilling items from Kickstarter campaigns and from our online store to all over the world, so pledge with confidence. We now ship every reward with tracking - even single decks, whereas in the past we have opted for standard services for smaller parcels to keep costs down, we have learnt that it is worth paying the extra to have everything tracked. If you wish, you can read for a more thorough explanation depending on where you are backing from:

The UK

Great news! Being so nearby, you enjoy the cheapest postal rates, naturally. We send everything Royal Mail Tracked 48h. You will receive tracking notification by email when your rewards are posted.

The USA

More great news! Following the recent change in tariff regulations for small parcels entering the USA, we have been at the forefront of researching and finding solutions to keep sending items out to US backers of our Kickstarter campaigns and customers of our shop, never missing a beat. We now use a Royal Mail International Tracked - Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service that includes all customs and handling fees and tracking in one single, up-front price for you, the backer. When you check out and pay your postage fees, your rewards will sail straight through US customs to your front door with no extra fees and no delays. We have been using this method since the changes came in, to great success. If you notice prices seem slightly enhanced compared to past projects, these built-in customs fees are the reason, coupled with the fact we now use a tracked service for all rewards as standard, but rest assured we have kept costs as low as we possibly can, and in some cases we will be covering some of the costs ourselves (depending on your reward level). You will receive tracking notification by email when your rewards ship. Please ensure you have provided your phone number, as this is now an essential requirement for US customs. Thank you

European Union

Good news! We ship to the E.U. using Royal Mail International Tracked - with all customs forms (CN22) and a pro-forma invoice attached, and shipping costs to the E.U. at the moment are very reasonable, even up to larger size parcels. This means there should be no issues, however, any duty fees are the responsibility of the backer. We will include considerate wholesale/pre-order prices on our paperwork, as you are coming in at the pre-production phase of this project, which should help keep any fees to a minimum, however, such fees are ultimately out of our control and we cannot offer to help cover them. You will receive tracking notification by email when your rewards ship.

Rest of the World

Good news also! We ship anywhere in the known world (at least we haven't yet found a place we don't) using Royal Mail International Tracked. Prices vary depending on where you are. You will receive tracking notification by email when your rewards ship. Please check your own region for any import fees due upon delivery, as again, these are out of our control and we cannot offer to help cover them.

Delivery

With all the artwork ready to go and proofing already in progress, we aim to have this project completely turned around ASAP, with no unnecessary delays - hopefully as soon as May, all being well. We have chosen December 2026 as a fall-back date to satisfy the Kickstarter requirements, and to give ourselves a buffer, but all of our previous projects have fulfilled long before the stated deadline.

Disclaimer: we will retain WJPC as a printing option, depending on the popularity of individual items and how many units are required, due to the high MOQs of Legends. WJPC is every bit a premium manufacturer of playing cards used by top industry creators and our choice of printer for smaller print runs. Our plan at the time of publishing is to print with Legends.

The cards will be A1 tier premium playing cards regardless of manufacturer and suitable for all types of card-handling, magic, cardistry and games.
