Torquemada's Inquisition

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Have you ever wanted to explore a grim and gritty world where the echoes of Spanish conquistadors meet the industrial shadows of World War I? That’s the kind of vibe we’ve captured in Torquemada’s Inquisition, a new miniature project designed for wargaming and skirmish battles. This project is all about creating tense firefight scenarios with grimdark features. The aesthetic blends baroque armor and ornate details with the raw mechanical grit of early modern warfare. It’s a unique mix that feels both historical and futuristic, perfect for fans of dark, immersive settings.

BASE SET

Cortez's Comandante

Veteran conquering warriors who have gone through hundreds of battles. Hardened by the battlefield, with their steel hand, they direct the rank and file into the heat, marching in the vanguard.

Cortez's Сonquistador

The backbone of the foreign army that came from the Mediterranean is made up of Cortez's fighters, who act personally on behalf of the Supreme Inquisitor Thomas Torquemada.

Inquisitor

Dressed in red, equipped with huge swords, which were personally consecrated by Torquemada, the inquisitors tirelessly punish heretics.

Torquemada's Priest

Torquemada priests conduct their scientific studies in dark church basements, guided by righteous goals. It was thanks to them that the Cortez army received technologies and devices to eradicate heresy from distant lands across the sea.

Jaula de Castigo

Especially dangerous and impious blasphemers are given the choice of either being burned alive or trying to atone for their sins at a church service. Of course, some choose death by flame and suffocation, and they are much more lucky. Because the second option is scarier than death.
The culprit is locked inside a steel, mechanical golem, which will serve as his prison for the rest of his life.

Novitiate of "Asesino de tanques"

Believers are so filled with faith in this hefty rifle that in a duet with a man, she is the leader, and the shooter is the wingman, and some priests say that they hear the voice of the gun that guides them.

Conquistador bombers

Heralds of fiery retribution, these warriors bring destruction into the midst of their enemies. Equipped with grenade launchers, they unleash furious blasts upon the heretics, burning away the filth and opening the way for the vanguard under the banner of the Inquisition.

Conquistador heavy support

Steel giants, carrying the thunder of death in their hands. Armed with these heavy machine guns, the fighters are the indestructible support of Cortes' army, their firestorms tear apart the enemy ranks, suppressing any resistance of the heretics for the glory of the faith and the crown.

Conquistador vanguard

The vanguard of the army, these indomitable warriors wield enormous axes that slice through flesh and armor with equal ease. Marching ahead of everyone else, they are the embodiment of Cortes' wrath, crushing barriers and punishing infidels in the front ranks of battle.

Conquistador veterans

The elite of the army, it is from these fighters that commanders and lieutenants are chosen for the entire army. The soldiers in the vanguard, equipped with cold steel and heavy firearms, effectively suppress the onslaught of any heresy.

THE LORE

“Heed me now, thou who is darker than dusk,
Heed that which is more red than blood”
— Prayer of a Heretic

"They Will Know Us by the Trail of Fire"
Homily of Father Alexander Anderson, delivered at the Trench Chapel of NexusBlock.

Five centuries ago, the gates of Hell yawned open - and the world as it was, ended. Cities crumbled beneath infernal storms. Oceans boiled. The sky wept blood. And from the broken earth crawled abominations, dragged screaming from the Abyss. Demons, unchained. Heretics, emboldened. Mankind stood at the edge of annihilation.
And yet—we did not fall.
The Holy Inquisition, once a scourge of witches and blasphemers, did not tremble. Under the iron will of Dominus Primus Tomás de Torquemada, they turned their fire not on men, but monsters. Their righteous fury—once spent upon fellow sinners—found new, worthy prey in the legions of the damned.

Where angels fled and kings wept, the Inquisition stood.

They made no pact with Heaven. They sought no reward. They knew that the road to salvation was blocked, and chose instead the path of wrath.
They became the sword in God's forgotten hand.
They became monsters to destroy monsters.

Each Inquisitor took up the burden of sin, not to be forgiven, but to be useful. For every heretic purged, for every demon slain, they carved a scar into the skin of the world—and called it mercy.

Do not weep for their souls. They do not ask you to.
They do not await Paradise. No choir of saints sings their names.

When death claims them—and it always does—they will gather again in Hell, regimented and righteous, forty by forty, rank upon rank. With holy fire in one hand and relic steel in the other, they will march across the sulfur wastes, their chants drowning the screams of the damned.

And they shall not stop until they reach the throne of the Adversary himself.
And they shall tear it down.
Stone by cursed stone.
Bone by broken bone.
