Build your own Dice Towers, I mean it really, decide what pieces, how tall to go, how many to bases to link together. Your creativity is the limit!

Each themed tower comes with a variety of pieces that allow you to dream big.

Who is this for?

   Do you play Tabletop RPGs and love 3D printing? Do you like being creative, and carefully crafting the RPG experience, then this set is for you! This set is designed for those that like options, craft your own modular dice towers themed for your table.

What's Included

   The starting files for "Towers of the Mist" include:

• The Sea Stack Fishing Shack

These tower designs include a variety of blocks to build your own dice towers. Mix-&-Match the pieces to make some trully unique creations. Each towers has a base and dice tray that dovetail together, plus a bottom, middle pieces, and a topper to drop your dice into.

Prototypes

Recommended FDM Print Settings:

Towers of the Mist print without the need for slicer supports. These are larger 3D prints so using thicker layer lines or a larger nozzle like .6mm can speed things up for you.

• Nozzle: .4mm (.6mm if you wish to speed things up a bit)
• Layer Height: .2mm (thinner layers, or adaptive layers will give finer details.)
• Infill: 8-10% (I typically prefer gyroid)
• Shells: 2-3 (more shells will provide stronger parts))
• Supports: NONE 

How big does your printer need to be?

     The individual pieces are relatively small, the sections themselves will fit on a printer with a build volume of 180mm sq. We may include some larger pieces, that may go up to 220mm.

But you don't have a 3D printer...

Maybe you are thinking about getting into the hobby, it never hurts to start collecting fun and interesting 3D printing files, back the project now at the discounted Kickstarter pricing and print them when you get yourself all set-up with a 3D printer.

   There are also places you can use a 3D printer to print stuff. Check with your local Library, Maker Space, School or College.

Why Kickstarter

   That's a great question, honestly we could have launched this on our own website, but Kickstarter adds to the fun. I love stretch goals, they help motivate me as a creator and add to the excitement for backers. Kickstarter allows the project to grow beyond it's initial offerings, it helps us gauge interest, and it helps raise capital to fund all the work that has already been put into the project.

When will the files be delivered?

   The plan is to deliver the files by the end of February 2027.  Granted, it really depends on how many stretch goals we unlock, it could take slightly more or less time to fulfill. It is always our priority to get you your files as soon as possible, and with all of our previous projects we have delivered on or ahead of schedule. Any delays would be communicated through regular updates. After all the files are ready, you will receive a message with a unique download code that will allow you to download the files from xykit.com (our website).

    We are here for you!  If you have trouble finding your download code, or just can't figure out how something is supposed to print, please feel free to shoot us a message. It is also our practice to maintain an "update file" after each campaign is over, should there be any changes / tweaks to the files.

Will the designs change at all?

   Many of the starting designs are close to the final version. However, in the finalizing of the design some improvements may be made to provide you with a better product (or just make them look cooler). 

   The stretch goals are a work in progress, and their designs will be revealed as they are completed.

Sharing, selling or distributing the digital files and media from this campaign is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action. 

  The files are for personal use ONLY (unless you are an active merchant, licensed with xykit.com). You may NOT sell physical copies. The files may NOT be sold, modified, transferred or shared. They may NOT be edited and/or incorporated into other projects for any distribution, sharing or sale. We do not allow files/models to be re-distributed, or sold by any other seller. Files may only be modified for personal, non-commercial use. The models and graphics may NOT be used to train A.I. (artificial intelligence). Product files are sold “As Is”. In no event will Xykit be responsible for the direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages that are in any way related to the design. Xykit is in no way obligated to update or provide ongoing support for the digital product. By purchasing this product or backing this Kickstarter, you agree to these terms of use.

Merchant Licenses

    Thank you for your interest in being a merchant. To become a merchant for Xykit, simply sign up for our "Gold Tier" on xykit.com or Patreon. As a Gold Tier member with Xykit, you can sell physical 3d prints of our designs for the duration in which you are actively subscribed in this tier. After the campaign, you will need to complete registration to our Merchant License program through xykit.com. As a merchant with us, you are licensed to sell physical 3D prints of any designs you have purchased through our Kickstarter projects, or at xykit.com for the duration of your license. All merchant licenses also give you access to our Monthly File Drops, for 2026, we've been releasing new RPG themed Enchanted Tomes each month.

*If you are a subscribed merchant for xykit.com, with an ACTIVE license, you may simply back the "The All-In" tier (yes, the early bird counts as well) and you will be allowed to sell physical 3D prints from this project for as long as your remain subscribed to the merchant program.
