Someone grabs a drink, two players are locked in conversation, or maybe the food's finally here.
No guessing, no pausing, no break in the fun.
Collectively tap your pucks to cause a flashing frenzy in front of the slowpoke, turning the wait into part of the fun!
Playing an eight-player, triple-expansion epic? Not a problem! Combine yours, or a friends pucks for up to 8 player games.
Or battling ships with an easily distractible friend? Sure thing! One TurnSignal set has you covered for up to 4 players.
Personalize your glow to match your meeple, your aura for the day, or maybe your longest road was snatched? - time for red. Ouch!
Each TurnSignal set includes:
Each TurnSignal set comes with everything you need to kick off a 2-4 person board game, as well as a protective travel case and charging cable.
We purpose-built the TurnSignal to be super easy to use:
No pairing to a phone, no fussing with instructions - easy peasy!
Playing with 2 sets? Same process: 2-8 pucks from any number of sets will automatically pair with each other, just turn them on and you're good to go.
Long turns, lively conversations, and a table full of distracted strategists? That’s where TurnSignal shines. TurnSignal works best with games where players take turns in a repeating order. Games with simultaneous play, frequent reversals, or lots of skipped turns are less suited to the tap-and-pass rhythm. Pick a game that fits your crew, and let the glow keep track of who’s up.
We're two guys from Boston who love board games and just so happen to be product design engineers as well. We built TurnSignal for our own game nights. But when people started asking where they could buy them, we realized it could be something to share with the greater board game community... So here we are!
Wilson (left) loves complex collaborative games and building layered worlds. He's DM'd a D&D campaign for the last decade, weekly. Alan (right) loves games that cause chaos and subterfuge, the kind that can test friendships. We both love discovering and trying out new board games.
Between the two of us we've designed numerous products ranging from silly to serious: robotic exoskeletons, premium strollers, gaming tablets, and even a fire-jet powered air hockey table - to list a few.
Every aspect of the TurnSignal has been thoughtfully considered. From the feel of the puck in your hand, to the reliability and durability of its construction. We've poured a lot of thought, care, time, and ingenuity into making this a great product.
We’ve taken TurnSignal from 3D models to working prototypes, refined it through hundreds of game nights, and selected our manufacturing partners after reviewing production quotes. Next up: bringing it to your table. Your support will help fund our first production run and turn the prototypes we’ve been playing with into the TurnSignal sets you’ll play with.
Your support will fund the tooling necessary to manufacture each puck's mechanical components, allow us to purchase en-mass our custom designed PCBs, and kick off the orders for the sewn travel cases and packaging.
We started the TurnSignal design with a brainstorm which led to an initial sketch with some rough ideas of how it might function.
Next up was creating "works-like" prototypes whose purpose was to let us playtest TurnSignal's function before focusing on developing its form or feel.
We knew that past the TurnSignal's function, the feel would be super important to get right. We tested out hundreds of key switches to find the "right" click, polling dozens of our board game friends to land on our Goldilocks switch. Not too firm, not too soft, just the right click.
Lots and lots and lots of board game nights ensured that we were making the right product with the right feel, function, and reliability.
We're proud of the design we've developed and can't wait to share it with all of you!
