The Vexed Village is back with a new set of cattywompus cottages, tumbledown towers, and bedraggled buildings!
***INSERT PHOTO CORE INTACT BUILDINGS***
The core of the new set is five new buildings, each of which also has a ruined version. You can scatter the ruins in among the intact buildings, or swap them out when the intact building takes damage, for games with destructible scenery!
***INSERT PHOTO CORE RUINED BUILDINGS***
All the ruined buildings are designed to be playable, with raised areas miniatures can stand on and low walls that provide cover. The ruins of the Chapel building come in three parts, so you can also mix and match those to create the impression of a larger ruined area.

Together, these ten STLs allow you to create a small town that’s seen better days, with toppled builidings scattered about the intact structures. Even better, combine both Vexed Village sets to create truly epic fantasy cities!
***INSERT PHOTO 6’x4’ full of buildings***
All the Vexed Village buildings are designed to have maximum visual impact, without getting in the way of games: smaller footprints, relative to their height, makes for great looking tables, while still leaving plenty of space to play. Volume 2 includes one much larger building, the chapel, which works great as a central feature on your boards and does take up a little more space, for variety of gameplay - it pushes the boundaries of a standard 250x250x250mm printer, but does fit!
Stretch Goals
I have a lot of stretch goals in mind that I’m hoping to unlock! For this campaign, based on backer feedback, I’m going to focus on larger scenic pieces, with fewer (but not zero) smaller details. From the first set, those are the pieces I find myself setting up over and over, like the Astronomer’s Tower, Fields, and Understory. I’d like most of the stretch goals to have real in-game impact. If there’s anything you’d like to see, let me know in the comments!
Add-Ons: Past Campaigns
Missed our past campaigns? You can add on the STLs from any of our previous campaigns, at their original Kickstarter prices. For the duration of this campaign, you can get any of our previous sets at their original Kickstarter prices! When you choose any of these Add-Ons, you'll receive all the core STLs and all the unlocked stretch goals from the original campaigns.
Vexed Village Volume One
The perfect Add-on, if you’re new to the Vexed Village scenery! The first Vexed Village collection includes everything from the original Vexed Village Kickstarter campaign, including all stretch goals - 36 pieces in total!
Heroic Hills
Our previous campaign, the Heroic Hills set gives you 44 different STLs for pre-textured, game-ready hills designed to be very playable, with slopes minis can stand on or flat tops that make deployment easy. The set includes hills in 6 different styles, so you’re sure to find something that matches your game and table!
The Heroic Hills also work great when combined in the 3D slicer with elements from other sets, making houses that are sinking into the scenery, or ruins that are half-buried and sticking up from the ground.

Byzantine Trenches
The Byzantine Trenches set includes over 50 scenery STLs, including a wide variety of "foundation" shapes you can use to create detailed, maze-like systems of trenches or ruins. The larger foundation shapes work great as base levels for other scenery! The set also includes a variety of accessory pieces such as ladders, platforms, sandbags, and more.
The Cult Rises
The Cult Rises set includes a huge variety of STLs for multipart, customizable Cultist minis. The Cultists look right at home among the buildings of the Vexed Village - or use them in a wide variety of tabletop games! The set includes male and female bodies in lots of different poses, with plenty of different army options, ranging from fantasy weapons, books, skulls, and even some more modern options like pistols and shotguns.
Printing the Vexed Village
All the Vexed Village buildings pictured here have been printed without supports, using a .12 layer height and .4mm nozzle, on Bambu printers. They have a lot of surface details, which can make slicing take a little longer - but those same details help to hide layer lines and make painting them easier, with better results.
***INSERT PHOTO unpainted black BUILDINGS***
Printing them in black makes painting easy: just spray your color of choice from an elevated angle and the black PLA will give you natural shadows. Paint in the smaller details, and you’re good to game!
When you slice the buildings, you may see a warning about overhangs - some of the buildings do have some overhangs, but they’re short enough that most printers can handle them just fine. If you do enable supports, you may end up with slightly smooth underside to some area - but those tend to be pretty hidden, so supports aren’t needed - but if you do enable them, that works too.
